Hi and welcome aboard!
I have the secondary cats and resonator deleted and replaced with a straight pipe like Kowalski. I left the muffler because I don't want trouble with the guys in uniforms and vehicles with flashing lights. In any case it would be illegal in my part of the woods

Did it on mine. Resonator and secondary cat delete, that is. It got louder and meaner but really isn't loud at all. A new Mustang gt is louder.
It's technically illegal for the shop to remove the cats, but not illegal to be without them unless it tampers with the o2 sensors (so dont touch the primary cats). You have to "know a guy" willing to cut it. Cost me like 125
It really isn't loud, though. But definitely sounds better anyway.

IMO with the secondary cats and resonator deleted, the sound when accelerating is what it should have when leaving the factory
Also, it remains discrete when just driving around town and when you don't want to be noticed...

Guys, has anybody done a primary cat delete but left rest of system stock? does it increase noise much?
The C43 exhaust is straight through design, but the primary pipes especially left side look the most restrictive part!?, I have a few c43 exhausts lying around so was thinking to use the flanges/flares and remake from headers to secondary cats.
I'm an old man now don't want too much growl but still very hp hungry

In the US you absolutely can't delete primaries without screwing up emissions. It will trigger CEL with the O2 sensors.
The O2 sensors on US cars are before and after the primary cat. They measure the exhaust pre-cat and post-cat. If you delete that cat, you'll have a permanent CEL and won't pass emissions.

However, given the lack of knowledge and the fact that these cars are about 16-17 years old now, I doubt a technician would catch a missing resonator or secondary cat even on visual inspection.
I'd like to see someone from Cali's emissions #s after deleting the secondary cat. Worse case, you'd have to put it back in. But no reputable shop will remove it without replacing it with another cat.
