Typical ccb tend to be a bit noisy for a while until warm. When it rains make sure you have a good "feel" of them. They tend to be soft for a split second.

I agree. I will add... if your plan is to track the car once or twice a year stay with the stock option, as they give you more feel while cold and in urban environment. With the CCB you'll have to get on the break a second earlier to get the bite.
I believe the CCB fron rotors on the C are similar to the E63 S, in which case I can share my experience with them. Mine are not noisy or lack bite when cold, and we have had some cold mornings in nyc lately, but they are noisy when you baby the car for a while. Goes away when driven agressivl for a bit. Will617 is right about the rain - but only in situations where I'm on a lengthy highway drive where I don't use the brakes for a bit, the. Go to get off an exit and there's very little brake feel for a split second or so till they are there.
Otherwise no complaints and I love having dust free fade free brakes.
While early incarnations of carbon ceramic braking systems came with a few tradeoffs (a few of these are discussed above), carbon ceramic brakes have improved dramatically over the past few years.
The optional CCBs on the F80 M3 are incredible; they bite hard. They're not noisy and you don't need to warm them up at all. Pedal feel is great.
All that said, the standard brakes on the M3 feel just as strong (on the road). Unless you plan on tracking your car a lot, the CCBs will likely be overkill (they sure do make for some good eye candy though).
Mercedes has always developed outstanding braking systems for its AMG cars. All the W205 reviews thus far have indicated that both braking options are stellar.
AMG did redesigned how the water is distributed around hub. There has been issues where the brakes weren't working as designed when driven in heavy rain.
We've been discussing this on the C63 S non-S thread. Yes it should be a DYI swap. And looks like you would need only the front rotor to be changed!
I'm still surprise that options does not come with rear ceramic rotors!!
As for brands you should stick with OEM parts or go with Move-it. But I don't know if they have package available for the C63S yet. Racing Brake is another vendor with good packages. Recently they advertized for a CCB kit for the W204 if I'm not wrong.
you will need those gorgeous copper calipers as well

This will be my 4th vehicle, I've owned, with CC brakes. Most have needed to burnish the brakes. I know the car isn't out yet. Just wondering if other M-AMG CC cars have needed burnishing? Thanks
I did many research on CCR from Mercedes history and they were just positive and the CCR options for C63S are even better thanks to the improved technology and design.

Any difference between burnishing and bed-in?
I haven't heard any complaint about doing so for MB CCB
Where did you order your C63S? Metairie?
Since my Edition 1 doesn't have the CCB option I am exploring the option of replacing the standard breaks with CCB.
My two questions are:
1 - Is that a do it yourself project? I have replaced break discs before but never on MB or CCB but i cant imagine that being too complicated.
2. Which brand? (Brembo or anything else) and where do you get them. for places have a break kit.
Thanks
Why does your Edition 1 not have the CCB option? I have ordered my edition 1 with the CCB option and the heads up display. Both additions were confirmed and the car is currently being built with a delivery date of April 25th. You should follow up with your dealer again.

In the US you can't add options to the edition 1. You can only change the color of the car.
