Do ceramic brakes last longer?
I am in the market for the ED1 coupe and it looks like CCB is a standard option. Do these last longer than the regular performance brakes? And how much do they cost to replace?
Thanks in advance.

They better last longer! I paid good money for them lol.
They are suppose to last much longer and be cheaper in the long run vs regular brakes. only time will tell

This was my dilemma as well - I ended up with standard though.
How do you guys find the CCB for daily driving? - Noisy? Take ages to warm up?
Have heard a few stories have to find out for myself.
The standard break dust is a killer that alone I would get the CCB option lol

Stopping power is incredible. Going back to driving a car without CCB you realize how well they work. Basically no brake dust in the front, rears still get pretty dusty though. Doesn't take long to warm up at all in my experience and they do get noisy with extended city driving and light braking...after a few pulls and quick stops they are quiet as ever.
I don't know why they didn't have the same for the back too!

Define "last longer." Daily driving, they should. When on the limit and at extreme temps, they last a little longer than steel brakes, but most people that track their cars use steel rotors for economy of replacement. You won't get a huge amount of extra wear out of ceramic brakes over steel for heavy track work. A lot of 911 GT3 guys swap to steel brakes for track work so they don't have to fork over a huge amount of money to replace rotors and for selectability of pads.

^ Right there. If you get CCB's just forget about tracking your car unless you want to spend $15k on rotors every other season.

Crazing disks
I assume the crazing or small spider web hairline cracks are normal over the entire CC rotor when you have is option. I got gts and you can’t feel them but only see them. 2800 miles , no track. This normal?
