Secondary cat delete pipe sneak peek W/Pics

it's been busy around here at MBH and Dyno-Comp. So with that here is one of many things we have been working on. This is our secondary Cat delete pipe with optional X-pipe. We have no testing data yet, and I think we are going to leave that to a trusted site sponsor Speedriven. If you guys ever get a chance to talk with Jo @ Speedriven he is a great guy. I hate making a guess about power gain because you are most always wrong when you do that. I'll go out on a limb and say 10-20whp??? Maybe we can put a little gentlemen's bet on what it does for power?

Anyways here is a quick pic

GT5 is taking me so ling to get anything road worthy. I do have a sweet skyline R33, but who doesn't at this point. I plan on building up my stable and then taking it online. I've just been invited to a BF Bad company 2 war tonight so I might go do that.

So it will require a single cut like GT Pro? Looks really good and I like the clean design with minimal pieces welded together.

looks like a really nice piece...however i'd be impressed if you see more than 10whp gain. the secondary cats are not that restrictive

The demand is for a 3" downpipe that is affordable, fits perfectly and produces power with or without integrated X yet everyone is making 2ndary cat deletes that offer very little and to be honest just straight pipe the thing for <200 if you want to cut.............still waiting for DPs.

I've seen them make very little if any power, you'd be best to just get long tubes and be done with it. It's the stock manifolds that are the bottleneck in the exhaust.

I agree, but for those that want to avoid the trouble with a simpler solution it's the best option. BTW MBH, congrats you guys definitely always create quality, fitted and affordable parts, just had my hopes up for something else.

On a stock c63 adding 3" pipes to the stock manifolds wouldn't really net you any gains over 2.5 or 3.75 inch pipes. The stock manifold just cant flow enough to be volumetrically efficient with oversized pipes. I personally feel u would see an optimal gain using a pipe size less then 3" if you are only mating then to the stock manifolds. Once you toss headers into the equation and relieve that restriction 3" pipes come into play. Sometimes bigger isn't always better, however some time bigger is better. It just depends on what people have for a set up.

We offer products for the person who wants big flow, sound, and power. With our headers and 3" mid pipes... With this new series of C63 products. It take into consideration the people who want some power, some more sound and at a more affordable price then doing headers. Its like anything else. Some people will want it and some won't. Perfectly ok. We are just trying to offer more product for the C63 guys rather than leaving people out.

Most of the stuff we build is by direct request these days. For example this one in the pic is going up to site sponsor Speediven. If a dealer, friend, or customer wants something, we try our best make it happen.

What do you want? We can make anything. I can make you a downpipe, Primary cat delete. Now its a matter of what do you want it like? Do you really want 3"? 2.5? 2.75? Hown long do you want it? Do you want it to run all the way back to the resonator? Do you want it short where you have to cut both xtock pipes and slip fit it over? Honestly the last part would be the most affordable.

With down pipes the cost can get up there. In regard to how much Stainless is used, the quality of the stainless. Good o2 bungs are about $15-20 a bung. Then there is the whole labor thing to make them. It adds up quick when you think of it that way. However, the most affordable way to do it is just to offer a down pipe that is not to long and does the job of deleting the primary cats, while mating to the stock manifolds. That would be a cut, slip fit deal.

Let me know, we can make anything. I try to be here as much as I can to help people meet there their wants and needs.

It will be available tomorrow if all goes well. When I get to the shop tomorrow, i'm expecting to have a breakdown of all material costs and time it take to make it waiting for me. I know we can build then fast though. When I say fast, that means a day or two, unless we are swamped or waiting for material

Well said. Mike, is this going to be easilly reversible like GT Pro's? Meaning the cut section will have a slip fit/clamp and not welded on.

I am also very interested. Been on the fence for a while and as discussed in previous threads, if you can provide a "plug and play" version of a downpipe and x-pipe to replace primary and secondary cats for a reasonable price (seems like most of us would be willing to pay max of $1,000 shipped to our door). I think we are happy to pay a few bucks for having the ease of reversibility if we sell the car.
We also wish for dyno testing to make sure we are at least not losing power and hopefully gaining around 20 rwhp. A few videos can't hurt either.
I just speak for myself but I wish for higher deeper sound with no droning. Civility at rpms below 3K and "hear me coming from a mile" sound above that

Will this fit a W212 E63? Its my understanding that the 212 E63 uses only primary cats and then has some multitude of resonators ? Can you shed some light on this ? TIA and a nice looking product you have there
