FML.... Dont Drive When Your Sleepy
FML.... I was driving to work around 5:30am and Im still sleepy and day dreaming...I didnt realize I was following a pick up truck for like 20-30 miles, it was still dark and I heard some rains drops but its kinda weird my windshield is still dry, anyway I disregard it and my volume on my radio is up too...anyway I parked my car and saw tons and tons of road rash and rock chips and just realized that this pick up truck has loads of gravel/sand and now my hood is f*#ked up...full of road rash. Dont know what to do if I can save it thru buffing or I need a re-spray...FML

those construction workers/drivers just dont give a rats ***. they are everywhere in my area and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Arf!!

If it's chipped up bad your prob looking at 750+ to respray and all the right way? And add the benefits of light weight and extra cooling and sick --- look what the heck dive in

When we got back to manila Our cars looked like it got sand blasted in the front! I had to re paint the front bumper, hood, side view mirrors and fender flares! The headlights and windshield got messed up too.

) BTW M1/DTM is SEMA level paint job

HEY MNL ICE that too bad man, I too had the same problem when we did a run with a friend in another C63 in the SCTEX. we followed each other taking turns on who would be in front. When we got back to manila Our cars looked like it got sand blasted in the front! I had to re paint the front bumper, hood, side view mirrors and fender flares! The headlights and windshield got messed up too.

thought you could call the local police or 911 on them... they're not supposed to have that crap falling out of their trucks... it's supposed to be sealed and secured... since they're causing dangerous conditions on the highway, i'm sure 911 won't mind... and if you catch the truck, you should also be able to have their insurance cover your damages...
the thing i don't understand are the trucks with those stupid signs that say stay 10-30 feet away from the truck and that they are not responsible for damages... i don't understand how that can be legal... a rock could travel a lot further than that and not just straight back either
i called 911 once when i saw a 10 foot ladder on the highway laying across 2 lanes partially... they took my call, i gave them the mile marker and which side and lanes it was on and they said they would get someone there to remove it... i'm sure i could have tried to locate a local police departments number but who knows how long that would have taken...

Lets see the pics first... respray sucks as you lose your ceramic nano paint and will inevitably get even more chips from the weaker paint.
If you can avoid the chips and touch it up, go that route.

I have a guy here in Atlanta (Southern Colors) that does a great job touching up my paint using an air brush. Found him working at Maserati of Atlanta. I am sure that someone around you can touch it up.

Sorry to hear that Ice. You gotta stop partying late at night and get some sleep lol. You can always replace the hood rather than a cheap re-spray. Talk to Keith and get a hood from him or get an oem replacement but that won't be cheap unfortunately.
