10.39 in Bradenton tonight!!!
Get to update my signature thanks to Ben!!
Due to my schedule I was not able to run tonight so Ben took the car to Bradenton in the 80 degree heat and was able to squeeze out a 10.394 @ 134.71mph!!
Also ran two 10.51's at 134.+.
Thats with the 160 shot.
Ben will post later what all the runs were.

Hi Keith
Congratulations! By the way I finally got the chance to see the vented hood in person the other day for the first time and it looks just awesome quality. Getting it painted and installed after Easter.. Finally.
Sorry for threadjack.

DA in a bottle!
Very nice runs guys. Amazing how everyone is pushing the envelope everytime they hit the track. Its an amazing time to own a C63 or a MB. Years from now it will be X+Y=Z. Buy this.. Install that.. Results.. You guys are making that happen. Nice work!

Thanks guys. It was a GREAT night considering it was in Florida and like 80 degrees still. Car ran awesome, and LOVES nitrous..... Track prep was awesome, and got to make quite a few back to back runs both NA and NO2. I don't think any of us expected the car to top our previous best in Maryland, but we'lll take it.... Wish we would have been able to run @ MIR this weekend... stupid rain.......
Anyways, BIG THANKS to Keith, Jerry's MB Service, and a couple new guys for their input and and services to get the car where it is, we couldn't do it without ALL your efforts and time. Going out tonight to run some 8th mile guys... should be fun. We've never run 8th mile, so it should be interesting......

Well, experience always shows faster times at MIR....... and we ran WAY MORE passes at MIR. as for the nitrous, yes it was more, but all that did was compensate for the HUGE DA difference.

It's always been the same equation. More air in, more air out, more hp...Results. The 63 motor loves to breathe - and just liek any air pump, the more air you flow the better. Add NOS and the hp goes up. Not rocket science and guys have been doing it for 50 years.

Then why are the records still falling? If it was so easy we would have seen these numbers in 2008....
What I meant is we are still learning how to get more power from the C63 platform... yes NOS is an easy way to do it, but aside from this NOS we are still seeing many amazing times for these guys every time they hit the track.
You don't need to explain to me how guys have been doing it for 50 years...

Agreed - operative phrase there, "every time they hit the track". I'm sure if you gave just about any of these guys 3 straight months of modding and tracking, testing and retesting, and nothing else...you would see the same records in 3 months that have taken a couple years to produce.

Not really...How do you know someone didn't run these same times in '08 ? Just because it wasn't published online ?? That's a pretty myopic way of drawing conclusions...not everyone who owns a C63 or AMG for that matter posts online about their achievements.

We don't know, I always said that. As far as the known records though we don't have a X+Y=Z formula yet for the C63 like we do for the American muscle cars.
Its still an open book of what company is the best and what mods yield the best results.
That's all... other than that I was being respectful. I was giving props for getting out there where I felt it was due.
Now it seems the thread will go south with Ben's current volley... Still waiting for his response to people who think DA doesn't matter... and who said it..
