What is the best light weight battery for my 63?
I want to go for some weight savings. I have two stock batteries right now in my SL63 One under the hood, and the other under the trunk. I'm planing to change them both. Are there light weight batteries that will give me a good weight saving and provide enough amperage for the car? I drive my car once or twice a week.
I heard of the braile batteries, but are they good in providing enough amperage for the car?
Thank you

I have had a Braille for the past couple of years (I think it is the 15lb version).
Never had a problem with cold weather starts etc.

I do not have any personal experience with the braille battery but have done a lot of research on them.
If you drive your car frequently (4+ times a week) then the braille batteries shouldn't be an issue otherwise the batteries do not hold a charge long enough and you will end up with a real expensive paper weight in your garage.
If you leave a light on (door open, trunk open, etc...) you can believe that your battery will be dead in the morning.
It sounds to me like the braille batteries may not be the option you are looking for with the minute amount of road time your SL63 sees...

If your car is not your DD, it is good to just attach one of these to keep it fully charged
