My Weistec supercharger numbers finally!
Ok guys the numbers are in!!
I don't have the dyno chart yet but hope to get it soon and will post so you can see the different curves - i have yet to see them myself as i had to leave before we could even start the dyno
Anyway here are the peak numbers at the wheels from the before dyno:
Torque Power
Stock: 513Nm @ 5300rpm ; 309kW (418hp) @ 6500rpm
This was done on a dynapack dyno and we therefore lost around 17-18% through the drivetrain versus the official crank numbers for the CLK BS as published by AMG of 507hp and 630Nm.
After the installation of the Weistec supercharger the numbers at the wheels looked like this:
Torque Power
S'charged; 669Nm @ ?? ; 385kW (517hp) @ ??
Working back to the crank numbers using the drivetrain loss 17% from before yields peak numbers of ~806Nm and 464kW (623hp). Weistec claim the Stage 1 system will get you 747Nm and 626hp so i was bang on the estimated hp number and presume that the extra 50Nm of torque vs their stated peak number is possibly due to the new tune i received for Australia's 98RON fuel. What ever its due to, i aint compalining I guess the outright numbers are not critical, we are all more focussed on the incremental gains from such mods and as you can see, they are pretty reasonable at 25% increase in power and >30% increase in torque. Recal that this was on a Black Series and whle the peak numbers wont change, those members with a C63 will get an even bigger incremental gain
The car drives like a dream and I am seriously considering putting one on my SL63 as well now. I am told by the dyno operator who has nothing to do with Weistec or the team at Ramspeed in sydney who performed the install that the tune was perfect in all respects AFR etc. PM me or post here if anyone has other questions regarding the Weistec supercharger.
I believe that these are the first independent numbers published for a STOCK 63 car with a supercharger and hope other forum members find this helpful.

Good numbers. Congrats!
Weistec seems to be one of those companies that uses great components, keeps parts in stock and does not over-promise or inflate their numbers. We are proud do be the official installer/distributor.

I'm waiting on my warranty to expire.. and hopefully in that time.. prices will come down.. As far as I know.. Weistec is the only game in town for sc's for the 156 engines correct? Maybe more competition will show up too.. I cannot justify $14k... more to the point.. my wife would castrate me

Nice work! Cant wait to see the track numbers.
Do me a favor, you seem to have cash to dump on a lot of cars... Buy a C63 and put one of these on and destroy every record on the planet! Id love to see what it could do...

Thanks for the kind words everybody!
No problem, i will post it at work tomorrow
I believe it is the new pulley
You are so right, ever since i had Sonny's longtube set up put on my SL63 i have barely driven the ML, or even the C63. A car as big as the ML is crying out for this supercharger...! When i get the CLk back in the stable this week i suspect even the SL will be gathering a little dust

Here is the before and after dyno chart. Dont even ask me what is with the torque curve on the 'before' dyno. Looks very odd.
However, the improvement to the curves for the supercharged car is unmistakable.

Doesnt dynapack give figures at the fly not at the wheels? If I'm incorrect my apologies, in no way am I trying to discredit your figures. In curious to see how this performs over the next 6months on your car. Once again congrats.

Thanks for posting the dyno charts, they look very strong for a Weistec Stage 1 kit.
I think the chart on torque shows the massive low end torque available with a supercharger and that is why the stock torque curve looks so weak. This car is going to be a real beast on the street. Think instant torque!
I'll bet throttle input to control wheel-spin will be a challenge.
Enjoy!!!

Chassis dynos give figures at the rear wheels or all four wheels if a four wheel dyno.
If you see flywheel numbers from a chassis dyno the operator has plugged in a conversion factor to get the numbers and entered another potential source of error. I think this may occur in keeping with local customs of reporting results for comparison sake.

But to get back on topic, those numbers are great, Maverick. Congrats! I'm guessing you'll be starting a separate bank account for pay for tires?

Yeah, but on a dynapack you remove the rear wheels and bolt to the hubs, so there are no varying losses from tire pressure or strap tension (or varying operator weight if you want to split hairs). Still get variations for atmospheric, but that's easier to correct for than the other variables I mentioned.
