My thoughts on Michelin Super Sports
Just had them installed today.
My previous tires were Good Year Eagle f1's
These tires were complete garbage, would break traction at a touch of the throttle, even with traction control on.
Now i know grip will only get better as the tires wear in, but i drove it without traction control and it barely lost traction. These tires were practically glued to the ground.
Size i got was 265 35 18
As noted in previous posts the side wall on these tires are HUGE.
I would probably go to a 275 30 18 on my next SS.
I have PS2's on a another car that is similar in horsepower and i was impressed with the grip on it.
The SS far exceeded my expectations.

19 inch wheels are your friend!...PSS comes in the 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 sizes to mate up to some nice, lightweight 19" wheels. I'll be glad to provide deep discounts on packages to any MBWorld member.

pss are a bargain in the states compared to how much tires cost up in Canada. Pirelli Pzeros rears alone cost nearly $1000. So $260-270 a tire for the latest in tire tech, incredible grip, and tire life is well worth the money.

I've said over a hundred times on many forms here, and that is:
"Friends don't let friends buy Michelin's"
1. Over priced
2. Over rated
3. Lack of Longevity.
Before I get harassed, think
1. Grip, Bridge stone 050 PP's
2. If still available, best overall tire Goodyear GS-D3. Sadly phased out
3. MANY cheaper Jap/Korean tires out there now which are half the price and almost as good.
He_l my Nitto 555's give me 2.00 60' times on my S, and sub 4's to 60 MPH. Albeit barely under 4
Did I mention they were under $200 each 275/40/18

I always run Michelins always on my SUV and you are right in many respects. They are lots of $$$ and we go through tires like no other...But on my SUV I'd never want any other tire...they are awesome!!!

I really like my Nitto NT05's. Anybody else with experience on these tires. Running 235/40 front and 275/35 rears on stock wheels and PP factory springs. I think I paid $700 shipped on line for set of 4.

Incidentally, it’s no particular accomplishment to record sub-1.99 second 60’ times even on pedestrian tires.
Done so many times launching 13-second and slower machines, lol.
Don’t belittle the Pilot Super Sports until you’ve personally explored (and exceeded) their considerable lateral and longitudinal limits. :y

Not of Asian heritage, although your derogatory “Jap” lexicon is an offensive slur to many.
