Arrow Methanol Injection on the 63 AMG

does anybody in this forum have this system set up on his C63?.

FluidsMotorUnion have the system. They dont tune for it, because tuning would require to raise your ECU timing and it could get dangerous when you run out of methanol. Therefore, it is completely safe when they just inject it through the intake manifold. The ECU will adabt to the new timing and in turn you will get a cooler engine and more power.

Has anybody tried it? and what sort of power gains are present?

There is one C63 in the Middle-East that is runing on Methanol. They set it up through his washer fluid and added a small tank. To tell you the truth, I didnt feel it gave him any gains ( I raced him before and after). Just wanted to know is it more of a power mod or a safer mod application.

Thank you

Methanol seems to be more suitable for F/I engines since they get very hot.
It would drastically lower IAT's which will make more constant power.
I know AEM makes a universal kit but I came across this setup specifically for N/A engines.

Would really wanna see if anyone is running methanol on they're C63 or the M156 in general.

Sounds good!
I wonder how much power we'll see with this kit.

Me too. Without a tune for it though I dont think you will see much. I dont see the ECU adapting that quickly for it on the fly.

FMU claim that when methanol is added. you need to hit the engine really hard about three or four times in order for the sensors to adjust to the new timing. I think it just like removing your charcoal filter in the US spec cars and adding a larger air box. The ECU will adapt to the new airflow.

I would be interested in seeing the results. Its quite possible. I only point it out for reason like race fuel taking a long time for the ECU to adapt and thats a constant octane boost.

The airflow however might adapt much quicker and respond like it does in better DA.

Wouldn't that would be useless in Mexico when there is a Bandito that wants to play?

Unless it holds the timing for a while.
