Is the C63 BS worth the price ?
What do you guys think about the extra 40k$ for the Black series ? Is it worth paying compared to a "normal" C63 ? Will it be so mutch better ??
I'm trying to convince myself, but the brain says NO, the heart says YES ....

Mercedes C63 amg, Bmw X5,
I definitely getting one, and IMO I think you should go for it. The car is absolutely gorgeous and I think it is more then worth paying that extra 40k$.

We will have to wait for final pricing but I agree with you that if money is a factor, there are plenty of other options that could be argued as being better than the C63 BS.
I will venture to say that most of the buyers of the CLK BS did not really care about the price of the car and it was an impulse buy or a purchase from the heart).
Now that there is a C63 coupe, I really do not see the point of buying the BS other than the pride of owning a black series. You can buy a C63 coupe, put a tune and get the same power. Other than the larger fenders and a few different internals, it is the same car.
This is the same discussion as when the CLK BS came out. There will be enough buyers that do not care about the price and they will get it. Good for them and I may venture to get a CPOed one in a few years.

Rumors are the it will not be sold in the US market. If it does become available I would sooner pickup a CPO than pay MSRP for a car that will be used on the street and is no better in performance than a c63. On th street. If you plan to track it often. Go for it. If you are looking for the wow factor from people who know what it is. Go for it.
The general public has no clue what a 6.3 is. Never mind a black series 6.3. A used GT3 for the same price however is known and a better car in my opinion.

In europe we already know the final price, base price for Belgium is 102.000 ex VAT (21%) Command system and ILS standard, German price is 97.000 ex VAT(19%).
So it's a whopping 37.000euro (exVAT)more than the "normal" C63, and so, I was wondering if this isn't a bit over the top ....

I'm really can't wait to read or see a test drive that compares the "normal" C63 to the BS. I think that will make the decission a lot more easier ... maybe

Yes. NA deposits. Rumor has it no NA allocation. Just a guy who knows a guy though. Dealers will take deposits before they even know if they are getting them. They know the options so they just write it up. Its not an order. Just a place holder.

What I mean is that I don't care what people think ON THE STREET !! I don't need "to be seen"
Here, I asked for a opinion, and I DO care what you guys think !!

Its a track car. On the no better than a C63. So if your going to track it. Get it. That is the only reason to get it over a c63. In my opinion.

You know I LOVE the C63 and would love to have the BS if they come available. My question to you is what do you want it for? Do you want it for the performance, the looks, or just having a BS AMG? The BS will lose its value faster just like the CLK63 has which is depressing.
1. If you want it for the performance side its NOT worth the extra $$$. The performance of the standard C63 is outstanding and will be on par with the BS with a few mods that cost a LOT less $$$. 99% of the C63 owners will NEVER take the car to the limits as is.
2. If you want it for the looks and can afford it then get it. In my opinion its over priced for what it is and there are a lot of other cars that will perform in a similar fashion for the same $$$ when you get to the $125,000 or higher range.
3. I love the added fenders and good looks of the coupe but I actually like the sedan better. I think it looks more aggressive and its a track monster!!
Once again, if you can afford the BS and $$$ is no option and depreciation doesn't bother you then get one.
These are just my thoughts which you ask for so don't flame me if you disagree.

All AMG Black Series are over-priced. But your paying for exclusivity, as only so many are produced. As in the case of the CLK Black, only 399 came to the US. It is a rare car period, rarer then say some Ferrari's.

So is $40,000.00 such a big deal to someone who drives 2 Ferraris?

Seeing as AMG released a US specific press release for the car, I'd say that it's coming to the US.

You proclaim that you have money, just by your cars listed. Whats $40,000.00 to you? The BS purchase like many have mentioned is really for a specific use, tracking the hell out of it. Or if you wipe your *** with money, then its a "look at me, I drive a BS to get my wife tampons" kind of purchase.
So is $40,000.00 such a big deal to someone who drives 2 Ferraris?

I already have the feeling that I have spend to mutch money on cars, BUT I'm a car nut, so I have to live with it
I see that alot of you guys drives the C63, so you're input is important for me !!!
Maybe some other question ;
how does the CLK BS compares to the CLK63 ?

It's almost like they put on the press release..."In case you are going Weistec, we gave you forged internals to increase the PSI and get even more HP out of it. Have fun gents"

I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a C63BS, much rather buy the original CLK63BS for less.
There are much faster cars out there for the same price or less (GT-R, Z06, Used 997TT) but on the other hand if you are an AMG nut and plan on tracking the car then I guess its worth it.
Personally, I would buy a GT-R and spend the extra cash on mods.

I know that the price is steep, but ask yourself what Black Series wasn't. Even the SLK55 Black wasn't cheap.
