Care to post a video of your driving skills on the track? I'd like to see how that girly convertible of yours handles.
So what, he brakes a little early. At least he's smooth and takes a nice line. Not that easy, especially in a car that bites you immediately when you make a mistake. At least he's DOING it, unlike some internet racers.
To OP: Great driving!!! Thanks for posting. With all that seat time you're getting, you'll be flying soon

1. This session was on slicks. 2nd time on racing slicks and putting heat into them was no easy feat trust me.
2. With slicks it changes everything including braking points. It takes some time to gauge braking points with slicks as the grip is so substancial that it requires a whole different feel.
3. This track has alot of blind corners and is very technical. Also consider that your *** is all of 2.5" off the ground and you can see as far as the vents on the hood and it can be somewhat of a challenge.
4. Videos always seem slower than it feels
5. You have to left-foot brake this baby...right foot braking is near impossible.
6. Early braking...yup for sure considering it is not my car and I don't want to responsible for cracking up a $400k car that just got shipped out from HWA.

That video layout was really cool. I'm going to the basic AMG Driving Academy next month at Laguna Seca. Wonder if I can get a cool video like that. I'd love to get a video going through the corkscrew!

You will. I am heading out to Laguna for Academy Pro event in Nov. The US AMG Academy post vids on line as well as pics so you will be able to download them. The US video is very similar in lay-out. If you can get Jeff Rodrigies and/or Lonnie Pechnik as instructors, they are very cool guys and very good as well. Have fun at Laguna.

you could be wrong. AMG/HWA are considering homologating the car for US series, but which one is unclear. The car is been competed in Australia, Asia and of course Europe so next step is US. Also there might be a chance that the Academy brings the GT3 to the US if things work out.

Appreciate the kind words...a couple of things to consider:

For being the first time on slicks, you're doing very good. Getting heat in them and then keeping the heat in them takes experience and lots of practice. Like I said, it's not easy, especially in a full blown race car.
I saw an earlier video of yours at that track, and even from the cameras perspective, you can tell there are a few blind corners. From your perspective as the driver, I'm sure it's even worse.
Left foot braking also takes time to get used to, and again comes with practice. Like I said, looks like you're having plenty of seat time and soon will be very good at it. Everything looks easier on paper ..... actually doing it is way harder.
Again, thanks for posting! Looks like you're having a blast, which is the most important thing.

Great stuff as always. Probably never gonna happen but I would love to see know it all's face if he ever tried to dive bomb a hairpin on a cold set of track pads. Typical Forza hero.

Here is another vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ajR0Af92O0
Tried some new lines with slicks on to see if I could increase performance. Take a look at 7:28....*** end starts to come loose. After session was over I was perplexed by how loose the back-end was getting. My instructor who races GT3 for a pro team response was..."yeah because you are getting faster"...love German humor!
