I hated the CTS-V coupe until someone in my town got a white one. It's actually very good looking in person. Then again I liked the looks of my E60 M5.
I agree largely with the banter here. The C is the better looking car, and has better build quality judging by the sheer number of people with rattley, noisey V's. If you're going to mod however, you can make the V an absolute ROCKET. There are Sedans out there running 9's.

I actually like the appearance of the Cadillac. On the inside, the CTS looks luxurious, and my 2010 C63 looks average! However, I would still most likely buy another Benz instead of a Cadillac. Mercedes needs to improve the interior's look and perceived quality. I test-drove an Infinity QX56 and, to me, it is much nicer than my GL 450 premier edition! I also test-drove the new ML and was very disappointed by the appearance, outside and inside, as well as the loose steering...

Actually, most CTS-V owners have owned the European equivalents (M5, E63, S6, etc.).
It's just that we are probably open minded and actually personally try different cars to form our own opinion.
Personally, I'm on here because I really like the C63 and I'm a car enthusiast.
If Hyundai made a 600hp sedan and runs sub 8 minutes on the 'Ring, hell yeah, I would consider getting it.
It's not an inferiority complex as you suggest.
Considering the ZL-1, F10 M5, E63, and maybe even the C63 BS for my next car.
How's that for diversity...

C63 has presence and prestige on the road. Don't care how fast the cts is but the coupe is just hidious, wtf were GM designers smoking?

+1 Always amazes when these threads go up Cadillac owners always appear to defend their cars....and then they are (and other non C63 owners) "actually impressed there was only a few posts that said "well ones a benz, the other is just a caddy". I mean who really gives rat's a$$ if you're impressed or not....I don't think I’ve ever been on a Cadillac forum. I mean why? I own a Mercedes....GM and it's CTSV owners NEED someone to hear that their cars are better.... I mean who cares. The OP should have just searched C63 vs CTSV and he would have pulled up enough of what he was looking for.
I just find it absolutely pathetic when some people say **** like "well ones the benz, and the other is just a cadillac" like the brand makes much if any difference. Its not like some entry level C-class is full of so much prestige. Both cadillac and mercedes are well respected brands...focus on the bloody car, not the brand.
oh god...presence and prestige? Do you really drive around thinking "man my car has presence and prestige." Its a c-class, there is little prestige or presence.

That said, there's a negative to every positive. Even without the NO2 in the car, I wouldn't want to pulley down that far to get the LSA to make that much power at the rear wheels.
For people that live in a hot climate, the under hood temps would prove inconvenient. LT's + over spinning top mount blower = high heat. That's the cost, but it's still an awesome build.

Hey that's great....next time hit the search button. There're plenty of opinions on these two cars side by side.....
Seems like you have your own feelings on the "entry level car" WE drive...
Really?....then go to a Cadillac forum if you are so so f*****G interested in them.. This is a Mercedes forum. There is plenty of info on on CTSV vs C63 on these forums. People like you love to stir the pot on that ugly car.

my god you really do cry a lot. If you can't handle even the most minor dissension, you may want to get off the internet.

Like I have said many times you have to see the coupe in person! Thats why I bought one they look amazing. I know this is a mercedes forum but you have to give the CTS-V its props (car picture below taken from a caddy forum), it looks sick lowered on some nice wheels.
I went from an M3 to E63 to CTS-V and I have no regrets.... But I am eyeballing a BS C63 Coupe (dont tell my wife)

It's a super sick vid and that car looks wicked.

NOS is not my personal cup of tea, but anytime you drop below 10 seconds in a 4300lb sedan...
