2012 C63 AMG Coupe
2012 C63 coupe exhaust options?
Hey there guys & gals, I just recently purchased my first Mercedes....the C63AMG coupe. I love the car in everyway. I am looking though to bring out that nice factory exhaust tone a tad bit. My question though to you on the forums here is, will any of the current secondary cat delete pipes fit a coupe model? Or will any exhaust options fit the coupe?
Thanks
Thanks

no one has posted anything yet. i was wondering this myself. because of the shorter frame, there is concern about ordering a four door version and it not fitting.
you could go to a respectable local exhaust fabrication shop and show them some pics of what you want and they should be more than capable of reproducing it. may be cheaper to?
some members on this forum have had some throttle lag from this mod and you run a small possibility of causing the engine to run lean without a tune which could lead to engine problems. one of the threads about this has been erased.
hopefully some of the members that have only this mod done to their cars can give some incite.

While we haven't come across any coupe-specific exhaust options on the market yet (it always takes a little while for the aftermarket industry to catch up to a vehicle that's just been released), we haven't had a coupe roll through the shop yet, so we haven't been able to ascertain what fits to what yet. But as soon as we do, as long as somebody else hasn't beaten us to it, we'll post up what we find.
In the meantime, though, if you're close to Chicago at all, give us a holler and we may be able to help you reach a custom solution. Here's a quick example of our most recent work on a CLK63 AMG Black Series:

I have heard this before from current manufactures of sedan exhausts. I too am in the market for exhaust as well as long tube headers which apparently also have fitment issues when using sedan headers.

It is the same, a few exhaust companies test fitted their system on the Coupe already and they are a direct fit for the header-back.
Since very few companies make headers for these cars we won't know until it is tested.
