Illuminated sills and new shifter installed.
I recently bought 3 sets of sills and a shifter from Jerry at formymercedes.com and the first thing I want to say is how great Jerry has been to deal with. I sorted of buggered up my order, then I added to it, then changed it. Nightmare for Jerry but he was all over it and really good to deal with. Ultra fast response time at seemingly any time of day. Awesome.
BTW do yourself a favor and scroll down on the front page of Jerry's site and click on the link marked "Tribute to my father - Chester Jones - A hero you never knew you had". There you will find his fathers recollections of his service in the second World War. Fascinating. Real "Band of Brothers" type stuff and a testament to the sacrifices that generation made for us.
Anyways, the sills are great. I had armed myself with 3 different DIY's and was prepared to take out the foot panel on the passenger side etc etc. When I opened it up I realized that those instructions must be outdated as it is now so much easier with a real plug and play type set up. The package contains 4 sills, 2 wires, and 4 wiring clips. Essentially the 2 sills clip into the extra wire and the extra wire just piggy backs onto the wiring for the footwell lamps in the front. Dead simple. You remove the current sill (which is on with a sticker), pull up the plastic door sill and the weather stripping, then remove the sidewall panel down by your feet. 3 screws hold up the panel above the footwell where the lamp is. Piggy back the wires and run the long wire past the front door to the back. Plug the front and rear sills into make sure it all works. If so, stuff wires behind panels and under carpet and put it all back. 30 minutes a side.
Easy as hell.
I apologize for the quality of the photos but they were done tonight with my iPhone so I can get better shots tomorrow:
They look just killer day or night. Great buy for $200.
I also bought a shifter from Jerry:
Hated the stock shifter. Plain Jane. I wanted something that tied in with the black burl and this really did that. Looks sharp with the chrome and the AMG logo and brings it all together. Also an easy install.
All around a great experience that I would recommend to anyone. If you have questions, feel free.

And as you can obviously tell I'm pleased with the vendor. I just wish he had more stuff for our cars!

The blue is just really sweet. I say blue. ANd these dont sit where those factory ones do.
And I'm glad cos that looks kinda weird if you ask me. These sit on the painted part of the sill, where you see the stainless strip in your photo.
