Agreed. I think the C63 estate is a great idea but I have no idea how well it sells in the markets where it is available. A Black Series however represents the pinnacle of AMG, the new C63 BS is surprising everyone with it's supercar capability. Why they would build an estate version is beyond me.

I dunno.. if it came to the US, and I had the cash.. I would pick one up in a heartbeat.. I am a cyclist (road and mountain), and the amount of crap I carry when I head out is ridiculous.

Not to mention the fact that my wife is pregnant, and all the crap that goes with having a baby (first one.. not sure how much crap.. but I am sure it is alot )

We just bought a Grand Cherokee last night since her Infiniti EX35 was way too small for anything.

This would be very popular in Germany and that alone would be a big enough market for it. They love estates!

there not gonna make a c63 black series wagon. lets just stop the non sense talk about that.

they dont offer the wagon here for a reason, they think it wont cell enough in the standard c63 amg version, which in my opinion is dumb.

so why would they sell a 100k+ version of a car they already think wont sell???

how do you know that this is a production car?

i'm with what a previous poster said regarding these pics- these are most likely shots of next year's F1 medical car. but, if they are planning a black series wagon- and i hope that they are, it doesn't matter that the machine is not very practical and super pricey. i always get a good chuckle out of those who try to bring a sense of reason to the table of a black series discussion. there will certainly be 100 buyers out there for a low-batch run of wagons. no problem. merc only made 20 of the C63 estate 520DR...try and get one. nobody is making money on these black series cars. not mercedes, and not the dealers. they are excellent marketing tools. that's all they are supposed to be. they attract people that wouldn't normally consider a benz. if they hook you on the automotive crack that is the black series, there's a good chance you'll become loyal to the brand and maybe buy an ML 350 for your lady and a C 350 for your daughter when she graduates. i'm pretty sure the practical-minded engineers at MB are working on projects other than the BS. i don't need the reasonable idiot that came up with the R class anywhere near the BS design studio. i'll take my cars stupid, please.

The E55 and E63 estate are very popular and are very difficult to find. I really think if they brought it to the U.S. it would sell very well. Looks at the CTS-V wagon, I'm sure they're selling decently. Hell, I would like a regular C63 AMG wagon. Yeah, we definitely aren't going to get that beast.

That would be a hell of a ride! Its a shame that most Americans don't understand the virtues of a wagon vs an SUV. Most folks l know never take their SUVs off road (unless driving in a snow storm and sliding off the road), and few load them to max capacity. A wagon gives you the extra capacity convenience, better gas mileage (unless you have a heavy foot in the E63), and the performance of a high performance car. I love the E63 wagon and think a C63 BS wagon would be an awesome ride as well.

Point taken about the rear seats in the C class. My wife 350 is almost impractical for an adult over 6 feet to sit in the back.

don't really care about wagon's, but this is my favorite new everyday car. Can only imagine what it would look like without the camo!

If you change the front fenders as well and maybe some of the mounting hardware.

This is a true shooting brake!

The folks from the City will drive them up to the houses on the estates get picked up up in the off road vehicles and reach their butts in time for the first drive. I would buy one in AWD and the M113K engine, my preference, no turbots for me except on the table.

Sure beats the Vantage and the pair of dicey Early Watson Brothers o/us Mr. Premium tried to sell me in Blairgowrie. Syonara sucker.
