FLOW-FORMING

Forgestar's flowforming process is a unique solution to a common problem – how to make a wheel both light and strong.

This specialized process begins with a low pressure type of casting and uses a special machine that spins the initial casting, heats the outer portion of the casting and then uses steel rollers pressed against the rim area to pull the rim to its final width and shape. The combination of the heat, pressure and spinning create a rim area with the strength similar to a forged wheel. During Flow Forming, the pressure applied to the cast rim actually changes its mechanical properties, so its strength and impact values become similar to those of a forged rim. That translates to up to 15% less weight when compared to a standard cast wheel. The resulting grain structure within the alloy of the wheel is linear, flowing in a single direction.

This grain structure pattern, combined with the exceptional quality of casting required for the process, gives the rim area of the wheel huge mechanical strength, and elongation. As a result of these mechanical characteristics, Forgestar is able to reduce the thickness of the rim area resulting in reduced weight, without compromising strength and resistance to impact.

Cancellation policy:

Custom wheel orders cannot be canceled once the wheels are in production.

19x8.5+40

19x10+50

This allows a 275 at the rear, if you want to run a "stretched" setup, we can do a 19x10+40 on a 255 but you will need additional camber.

We have been with Forgestar since the beginning and have been through the growing pains. I will say this - the main factor in your purchasing experience will be the retailer that you use.

More often than not we have customers find cheaper prices and price shop us to death. We do not play this game - we have nothing to win by doing so. There are custom wheels - they take 8 weeks to manufacture when the barrels are in stock. We are not in this industry to make $50 on a set of custom wheels that will require hours of customer service (complex sales process, complex customer service process, etc.)When shopping for Forgestar wheels, you should look into the retailer's past experiences with them. There are very few high volume dealers for Forgestar, there's ACG, Modbargains and us. Otherwise others are scattered through various communities.

They have made tremendeous strides in their product offerings - sure it is not yet perfect, but they have switched from painted barrels to blanks to ensure better availability of their wheels, they have switched from painted finishes to fully powdercoated, to make sure none of the flaking problems you might have read about happen ever again. They have developed inventory and tracking tools for their best retailers to offer accurate updates.

I still believe they are WAY too cheap for custom wheels, but they wanted these to be very popular - they did not expect them to be THAT much, hence the many problems that occurred (delays mainly).

I also forgot to state - we have one set in stock of 19x8.5+40 19x10+50 in silver powdercoat in stock. 1519 shipped takes it.

Customer backed out of his order. We can get it re-powdercoated for an extra 200$. Adds 2 weeks to the lead time.

Let me know guys

The F10s are 20" only and I would not recommend these on a C63. They also only come as a 10.5" rear which is very difficult to fit under the fenders of a C63.
