Latest Dyno Results...472whp/431wtq!!!
Being a bit bored without any local drag event to attend, I decided to hit the dyno again to see where my car stood with the tune fully settled in. I had also since added an MBH X-Pipe and was curious if that affected the results at all. So back I went this evening to visit Seb at Specialty Z in Chatsworth, CA.
Given my limited mods and crappy gas, I was pleasantly surprised to find my power had improved a bit from the last visit. Same dyno, same operator, similar ambient conditions, and again SAE corrected.
Mods at time of dyno (Dynojet 224xLC):
Charcoals removed, AFE Pro Dry filters, MBH headers, MBH catless midpipes, MBH X-Pipe, Kleemann Stage 2 tune, 91 octane Chevron fuel, 5th gear
Peak power = 472whp/431wtq SAE Corrected
The car was run 4 times and each run produced similar results, with only the final one showing a bit of timing pulled in the midrange (likely due to heatsoak). I was also very pleased to once again see a safe AFR curve.
Comparing my results to those recently posted by several of the East Coast leading performers, also done on a Dynojet, I'm hopeful that I can lay down some impressive numbers at the track when finally given the chance.
Until then...

Catless midpipes plus headers makes for some serious decibels! After following one of my cars which has LTHs on a recent
roadtrip i was afraid i decided i had to quieten the exhaust ...and i have even had sports cats... The noise was so offensive I was
embarrassed!! I couldnt feel like when i was i n the drivers seat that i could go amy where near the throttle in suburbia. The noise of
headers and no cats must be off the charts!

Did this X pipe quiet things down a bit more without cutting power??
My exhaust is so loud, the sound waves bounce off my neighbors houses and wakes up the entire community lol.

The X-Pipe actually made power compared to my previous best pull on this dyno in similar conditions. I will post a graph later today comparing before and after. Midrange torque seemed to really pick up, and in some places gained 20wtq!
