keeping your C63 after warranty expires???
I got my C63 in august 2008. So my warranty will end this upcoming august in around 8 months.
Are you nervous about future potential repair cost enough to sell your c63. Or are you going to keep it even if it's no longer under warranty.

Not interested in owning an AMG out of warranty at this point. One of the reasons I have chosen to lease these cars. Not that they are prone to major issues or anything, but I'm not interested in the risk.

I purchased the extended warranty, 5 years and up to 75,000 miles. Peace of mind is key. If anything goes wrong with that hand built V8 (not saying that it will), but its going to cost thousands. In just a year a and a half a warranty fix has already paid near half of it. I had the steering column replacement problem. So happy I had warranty to take care of it.

Paul, I will order you a new one!!! The lease for a new one is actually pretty good, considering that these C63 with this powerplant may be the last of the generation, get a new one and live hassle free for another four years...my thoughts.

Mine's are ending up at the coming August as well, and I think I will buy the extend warranty for it. I will keep it until...I don't know, might buy a coupe verson or the new slk55 parking next to her

Just had a minor issue with the rear tail light not lighthing up fully. It was a bad connector they ordered one under warranty.
Also 2 of the 3 windshileld washer sprayer (yes we have 3 ) were not fonctioning. The hose was disconnected wich they fixed under warranty.
My dealer here has a white coupe and a red coupe both '12. Went with my wife to show her the cars. She likes them but she wants a 4 door

I don't know what extended warranty you have, but the one that I have is from MBZ, 7 years 100K miles and doesn't cover everything like a new car warranty.

I can understand the fear of expensive repairs outside of warranty, but I will likely not purchase an extended warranty and will keep the car after the warranty expires.
It's a risk I'm willing to take, knowing that the powertrain is very durable. And the money that I will not be spending on an extended warranty will go towards my next car's downpayment.
It's really just a risk/reward scenario and I'll take the gamble.

I agree with you. Many people push these cars very hard and the powertrain seems to be very durable.
