Simple Question. To keep or sell.....

Keep my 2011 V8 R8, or pre order the C63 BS?

I have already had a C63 before..and no doubt that was fun, the R8 is a true connection with the road. I know I am posting on the MB forum...but just trying to get all opinions

Peace

Thats a tough choice, I would lean towards the C63BS.

AMG GLC63. Audi R8
If you had an RS8 V-10 I'd say keep it. But the I would move up to the C63BS from a R8 V-8.

Good to see you are still around....funny how you cant get that AMG big V8 out of your system, I am one of the few members on MBWorld who had the great forturne of sitting in the new Black Series on a professional race course, with a pro doing some hot laps. When I ordered the Black Series back in June/July I was a little sceptical about the difference this car has compared to a C63 with the PP....I can tell you that this car shocked me, it is a completely different car from the others, it is louder, deeper sounding, looks that say that "I am angry and vicious" and it stood out from a group of SLS and SLS roadsters as well. If you were happy previuosly with the C63, this car will knock your socks off. Good Luck with the decision and again, good seeing a familiar name from the past!

Yes
Can you score an allocation at this point? Decision may be made for you already.

PS - what did you think of the Range and the X5M?

That is a hard decision. The R8 is my dream car, v8 or v10, I wouldn't care. The BS is nice but there is just something about the R8 that will always have my heart.

That depends...You probably know everyone at the MB service department by now.
SO the question is, do you miss them?

A change is always nice. I had a 5.2 R8 for two years and really liked it. But the new BS is pretty darn cool.

haha, thanks for all the input. I'd love a C63BS, but I had tons of problems with my C63 that got lemon'd and they gave me another. I know the value on the AMG's drop like hammers. The R8's, still have that special place in people's hearts and are holding value. I mean really, I don't use the R8 much - but when I do - I still get butterfly's in my stomach. I did the v10 front bumper conversion, wheels, tubi exhaust, ecu tune and filters. It is a fun 6 MT. I would be scared of the BS because of how much they drop in $$$$.

OR do I wait for the new m6.

R8
I wouldn't give up the R8 to get the BS. To have both, however, now THAT would be tempting. After two years with my R8, I can't find another car that I want to replace it with. But there's always a special place in my heart for AMGs.

Which ADV1 wheel are you using on your R8?

C63 BS, GLA45
I debated between the CLK BS and the Audi R8 V8 2 years ago, and came up with a great formula to decide which car to get. Here goes.

1. If you enjoy sex more than driving, get the R8. You will be guaranteed effortless awesome sex in an R8. Unless you're really socially awkward. Young girls dig d-bags these days.

2. If you enjoy driving more than sex, get the BS. The 2 cars are in completely different leagues in terms of driver enjoyment.

If you're married, it's a tougher choice. You'll need to figure out if you can afford to give up 1/2 in a divorce if you're in the #1 group lol.

Not trying to be sarcastic, but I'm just wondering if I'm reading this wrong. Are you saying that R8 drivers are douchebags? Or that the C63 Black Series would be a better driver's car than an R8? Maybe I'm not understanding how people go about defining what it is that makes one car a "driver's car" anymore.

I guess I was only referring to the comparison between C63 Black Series and the R8, but having driven the GT3 on numerous occasions, I do agree that it's a great driver's car.

If driving an R8 makes you a D-Bag.... then I want to be a D-Bag soooo bad. I want to be the Biggest D-Bag there is !!! I would even get my license plate to say D-Bag just so I could have this car in my garage.

Well if any R8 owners are tired of being associated as a D-Bag due to their car then I will more than happily take the car off your hands to help improve your image.
