2013 C63 coupe
2012 Coupe Seats
Hi,
Sort of an odd question, but I'd love to hear your thoughts -
I'm a guy that is definitely on the fat side of things. Not can't get out of bed obese but definitely well above average, unhealthy in weight (around 235lbs, 5'8).
In 2009 I was looking to do the C63 but I found the bolsters to be just too extreme to be comfortable (even in their widest setting). Now that my current lease is about up, I figured I would give it another try. In the 2012 coupe the seats felt much better to me. At the dealer the sales person mentioned he had noticed that as well (though he is trying to sell a car so . . . ).
Obviously the best thing to do is just spend some time in the car. I have sat in it for a bit but have had some trouble finding a dealer with a car in stock at the moment. Before I do it, I will of course try and spend a considerable amount of time just sitting, but even then its a tough call. It is definitely a borderline fit in my case.
Any thoughts? Yes, I know this car is a pretty good motivator to loose some weight, but in the meantime, anyone on the large size have a 2012 Coupe?
Thanks a lot, sorry for the odd question,
K.

08 clk63 amg black series
ill give you the best description i can for you. i am a bit heavy 6'0 225 and have a black series (with the old c63 seats) and just got my wife a new c63 coupe. the old seats were never uncomfortable to me on my side bolsters, but did put my legs to sleep on long trips( over 3 hours) because the seat bottom was so narrow. i find i dont have that problem anymore when i drive my wifes car, as all the bolsters are much less dramatic, and more normal, if seat comfort is an issue, i just test drove a new e63 amg and found the seats to be much wider and more comfortable, i dont understand why they put the smallest stiffest seats in all the small amg cars, i hope this assessment helps you in your decision making process.

Hi,
Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. Yeah it seemed to me that the new coupe seats are a little less extreme, but I may just be trying to convince myself of that ha.
I definitely need to spend more time in it if I can find one in town.
Thanks a lot,
K.
