am vaguely contemplating the SLS, have a C63 P31, anyone have both that can offer opinions, SLS seems pretty long and wide and headroom seems a bit less than my C

2012 C63 coupe
I don't own an SLS but have driven one on the track. It was an amazing car and your observations are correct. The front of the car is LONG... or at least it feels that way. There is also much less headroom than the C63. Sitting in the SLS makes the car seem bigger than it is. I also didn't like the seating position. Also, I know the car is WAY more capable than a C63 in all respects but the C63 felt a little more tossable and fun to me.

I think the SLS would be a very fun car for weekends/track use but would get annoying to drive more frequently. It is an amazing car nonetheless.

I know what most people will tell you but here is my opinion. As far is the lenght, well the SLS is 182.6" long while a coupe C63 is 185.3" so the Coupe C63 is longer, a sedan will probably be even longer...

As far is the width, the SLS is significantly wider with 76.3" while the coupe is only 69.3". You can get a C63 go in a straight line as fast as the SLS with just a tune, air filters and headers. If I were single and had the money I probably would go for the SLS. I think that you get 90% of the fun with a Coupe P31 and still have some good cash in the bank for something else.

I used to own A PP C63, and I've spent a good amount of seat time in the SLS - IMHO, the C63 is a sports sedan: lots of power, but still reasonable in terms of room, seat position, etc. The SLS, on the other hand, is a performance-focused machine: excessive power, very little room for the driver / passenger, mildly difficult ingress / egress, and that vaguely claustrophobic feeling (if you're not used to the dimensions, but I'm sure the roadster changes that dynamic). If you're a fan of the whole experience, then I'd definitely recommend the SLS. If you want a more normal vehicle, go for the C63.

2014 E63S Wagon
having played with the SLS during an AMG performance tour (in a parking lot), the SLS is much more planted than the C, incidentally making it less fun.

The interior didn't feel like a super car as long as the doors were closed. Still, i would not mind having one in the garage at all

It would be really hard to take advantage of what the SLS offers over the c63 on regular roadways. That thing is a total beast - but really, you won't be able to take advantage of that unless you're tracking it fairly frequently. Two totally different driving experiences, though.

HI have the SLS and a pp31 2012 c63, but mine is station wagon.
For me are two different cars. the SLS have a great handling, really planted, with a long long hood that is fantastic to see from the interior during the drive.
The c63 is more funny, always drifting at every corner, more usable, more comfortable.
it depend from what you need. the SLS is not perfect for daily driving, the c63 yes.
so you have to choose if you want a car fast and comfortable that you can park, use always you remain with the c63, if you aren't interested to this thing and want a fantastic car to look and drive choose the SLS.

so essentially for daily driving its like a Lambo, issues with size visibility and parking, that disappear as a track toy or occasional driver making the C63 the better daily driver?
