Its almost a crime i have dediced after years of playing around with these things, to mess around with the stock AMG exhaust.
Its note and volume are pretty much perfect, aggressive, distinctive and not going to make you hated in your neighbourhood after early morning startups.

I have this on my car with the big bore LTH and a set of resonators. With the valves closed the car nearly sounds stock like. It is a bit boomy at low rpm but very slight. With the valves open it is very load. For anyone that has issues with sound on cold start up etc and wants to drive around incognito its the exhaust to have. I will be making a sound test open and closed with the LTH soon.

With the valves closed Up to 2000 RPM it was very deep sounding but at high rpm's it was pretty quiet. Much quieter than the stock mufflers.
Actually, I closed the valves manually after you left for a few runs. In the closed position this system kills power as expected. I lost 2-1/2 to 3 mph in trap speeds.
