You really should use the search function as this topic has been asked countless times. Here are some feedback from not too long ago. https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...3-vs-e550.html

Since performance matters to you, the C63 is a better choice for you as the E550 is sloppy in terms of handling. I drive my cousins E550 coupe all the time and that's my take on it. The E550 coupe is more than fast enough for everyday driving, but it's not a balanced car. Gas mileage is negligible as both will guzzle gas like it's free. The E has the newer interior vs. the 2010 interiors. I would go with the car that brings you the biggest smiles!

I would say the E550 because you already race SCCA and the comfortable ride of the E will be welcome. It's also pretty fast. Your sig says you have a CTS-V, is that true? Because that would really take the place of both the E550 AND C63! Big and fast!

Since you have a Z06, I would also say the E550. Gets decent MPG as well 17mpg/27mpg, and a bit cheaper.

Car and driver tested a CLS550 and ran 12.8@112. The E550 coupe according to edmunds is 3700lbs. Over 400lbs lighter than the CLS550. The twin turbo E550 coupe is going to boogie.

Flash and down pipes, it will be uber stout. Renntech is claiming 530hp from just their tune. So you get the straight line speed, but have all the comfort to boot.

If power is the main deal for you, you gotta get the 63. If you want more comfort and luxury, and more of a practical daily driver, i think you'd have to go for the E

2014 E550 4Matic with P1/LED/Pano
the N/A '10 model I have is FAST. Faster than my modded STI was by far, even bone stock. The 4.6TT will only be better in the '12 models. As said, the tuning ability with the new motor will narrow the gap between the C63 and the E550 (for '12 and on only....different animals before). The E550C is no slouch in the handling dept but it's no sports car. I've often been tempted to put coilovers on it but then I come to my senses and leave it alone.

I get the new car itch every two years or so. I'm coming up on that anniversary in May. What would I replace the current car with? Either a '12 E550C or a CLS550. Considering my options now but am also happy to just enjoy this one. It's that good and this is coming from a guy that routinely put $10k-20k worth of mods on this car. A nice set of BBS and some C63 wheels for winter are the sum total of what I've done and I'm not tempted to do more.

Hope this helps...

PS - you don't get these windows on the C Coupe
