2013 GT500 vs C63 BlackSeries????
Sorry guys I dont typically post over here but wondering if anyone cares to see the 2013 Ford GT500 vs a Black Series C63, who do you think will win around a track?

Out Of Control!
Seeing the C63BS suspension has been tested at the Nurburgring tracks the chance of it winning over the GT500 is highly likely. Plus the curb weight of the C63BS might also be somewhat lighter.

I wouldn't count the GT500 out of the twisties. The 2011 is able to pull over 1g.
A CLK63 BS was able to do the ring 8:02, CTS-V was able to do it in 7:59. Can't find a time for the gt500.
But the GT500 did out do the CTS-V on another track.

The 2013 is supposed to be even better. I say the C63 BS will have its work cut out of it.

Around a track? One of the two GT500s you could buy for C63BS money would crash into you while the other lapped the scene of the accident.

I think it would be a good race.
I love the C63 BS, but the 2013 GT500 (hell even the 2012) is no joke. Apparently, for 2013, Ford used what they learned from the Boss 301 Laguna Seca and applied it to the GT500. I've seen the Boss 301 LS tear it up on the track.
Because of the transmission and the suspension setup of the GT500, I'd say it would take a lot more skill to drive the GT500 properly around a track.

Sport Auto has a 7.46 ring time with the C63 BS. ZL1's time is 7.41 and Gt500 is more powerful and lighter than the ZL1 so I don't think BS has any chance compared to Gt500.

^ it'll be a smoke show from a dig. Clearly the issue will be putting all that power down, plus it'll be a porker, so in stock form, I don't think it'll be as impressive as 650 hp would indicate. Plus I think it's manual only, so some skill required.

1. The drivers don't go at it all day getting used to the car while gunnning for a best overall. How many laps do they run to get the "best lap"?
2. They're people too. Maybe they were drinking the night before, a fight with the girlfriend, a bad burrito, whatever.
3. Skill level or experience.
Anyhow, cars running a few seconds apart (or a handful) are pretty much the same. Different days, different drivers, those few seconds may as well have been a few hundredths (in favor of either car).

So we are all pro drivers ?
One will barely see the difference between the two on a racetrack if not a skilled driver ...
That being said , the BS "should" be much more easier to drive fast than the GT500. I guess so .....

2009 C63
It'll be the same problem with the C63 BS if not worse. Top Gear reviewed the BS recently and was underwhelmed with its handling. It had serious issues with putting the power down in corners and although it lapped their test track with a decent time, it took some serious finesse by their pro driver to do so.

Well i did a lead follow around my local track with a 2012 shelby and when i was behind him i could keep up perfectly with nt555's i actually felt he needed to go faster , when we changed spots and i was in front of him he had a hard time keeping up it seemed his car would break traction all of a sudden without any notice. My car is not a black series but i have better lap times than the GT'500's at my track. The track i go to is very technical though so maybe on a faster track the results would be different.
Specs on mine: 2011 sedan eurocharged tune, kleeman headers, charcoals removed, k&n's , H&R Springs, stock 18's with nt555's.
