Gauging interest for CF engine bay

AZN Optics is currently working out exclusive distributing deal to carry the Nemesis© Carbon Fiber engine bay intake kit for C63 and wanted to gauge interest from you guys.

Pricing will be around around $2600 for the full kit and is custom made to order. Let me know if this is something you're all interested in and I will work to bring this to market.

The same thing is on ebay for around $4k so I'd say 2600 is pretty good.

This is an exclusive MBWorld member price as it will normally retail for $4k+ outside, but want to bring the pricing down for you guys.

We're also looking to bring in NHC's complete CF line which includes diffuser ($900), seat cover ($1600), 8-pcs interior trim ($1100), side mirror ($150), and eyebrows ($300).

Sign me up for this. Cheaper than $1800 that "other" company is asking.

It's not a group buy. It's going to be standard price for MBWorld members only

I'm guessing next to nil as it's more cosmetic. They're supposed to have removed some of the baffling inside the air box which will give you smoother air flow, but it's probably negligible.

Return? lol. Well, if they keep them in stock, might be worth going with them. I'm doing a made to order to avoid stocking inventory which keeps my operational costs down, passing savings to you guys, but in exchange adds a few weeks to lead time to manufacture.

Working with them to see if we can piece out the components, but they'd rather sell them as full kits I know.

Depends on what you're asking. The mold is set so they're not going to make changes to design, but maybe if you want finish or material might be an option.

Really? I would have thought that with a proper tune the increase air flow of the whole system would represent a lot more performance increase. I mean Renntech claims an ~20hp boost from their airboxes alone.

These by itself would probably be minimal performance, but with a tune to take advantage of the higher airflow, then yes, you'd see some gains. Renntech claims only 10hp for their airbox(www.renntechmercedes.com/www/node/191) but most of those gains I'm sure comes from the high flow filters they package with their kit, but without a legit dyno backing it, I still take with a grain of salt. Using stock filters (or high flow filters), I'd be willing to bet you see same performance from these vs Renntech. Not bashing Renntech as they're a great product, but you're paying $3k for their product while getting a lot more from the Nemesis kit for less.

That stinks, you figure one of these conpanys would make it better instead of just copying everyone else its such a simple request

Ok, looking for one person to claim one time low price of $2300 for the full kit shipped to your door. What we want in exchange is a series of installed pictures and honest feedback of the unit along with any improvements you feel there should be.

Please send me a PM if interested.

I'd pick up a plastic one in gloss black for under 500, no need for CF tax

I tend to agree for those who want Go No Show, this is for those who want Go And Show

I want to work with them to come out with a cheaper plastic alternative for those who do not want or can't afford CF version. More options provided for everyone is always a good thing IMO.
