Dealer should replace under warranty. I had the same problem, but it wasn't near as bad as yours, and they replaced it.

you shouldn't carry ladders or pallets of bricks on the roof of the car

Actually the dealer messed it up after their courtesy car wash. They claim they hand wash each car.

Well my service adviser was like, normally the part is $250, but we'll give you the part for $100 and cover the labor out of goodwill. rofl how nice...

I don't think it is covered under warranty because I am under a third party insurance since I bought the car used. Unless my third part insurance can cover it. I bought the platinum plan.

It's either buy a new replacement or get it vinyl wrapped.
How long does it last before the trim starts to peel again?

Wait, your dealer damaged it and they have the ***** to ask you to pay to fix it? You should complain to the manager, if that doesn't work time to look into some legal options.

Some lady called me after I had some warranty work done and asked me how my service went. I said it was fine but they damaged my roof. She asked me to send a picture in so I did. She called me back and said she let her manager look at it.

The manager talked to my SA and that's when my SA called me telling me he will give it to me for $100.

I'm not much of confrontation. And I don't have time to go legal for something this small. I might call the SA again to see if he can replace it for free. but if it fails i'll most likely just pay.
