matte black front grille with only chrome emblem

Does anyone know if any vendor sells a matte black front grill with only the star emblem being in chrome?

I couldnt find one - but I had mine painted at the body shop in flat black, leaving just the star and circle in chrome. Can take some pics tonight if you want.

The only black one i saw was a Brabus style one, but I like the Merc logo.

+1 on this, but it won't be easy to take off if you decide to sell.

+1, unless you wrap it yourself the labor alone will probably be the same as buying a new grille.

Doesnt plasti dip peel right off? Or are you referring to it being tough to remove on the mesh part of the grill?

Here's mine - it is not plasti-dip, it was done in flat black at a body shop. I chose to do everything but the star. My foglights are matched in flat black as well.

Yes, but don't you have to cut it first? And yes the mesh part might be a problem.

To OP: I would rather get it done right than worry about the cost.

Bodyshop removed the grill and took it apart. The Star actually pops out. They had to sand down the chrome then paint.

I would advise against painting the chrome as it chips very easily. I had mine vinyl wrapped in flat black (minus the MB star) about a year and a half ago and it still looks the same today - not a single chip or mark.
