C63 BS Coupé service bulletin
Just got a Text from my shop foreman. New Torque spec's on our wheel bolts.
132ft/lbs
Seems high to me but he double checked. Get out the torque wrenches>>

Look in your manual, page 257. The torque specs for the spare is 133 lb-ft (180 Nm). There's no mention of the factory wheels. I believe that's what the service bulletin is addressing.

Crazy!
I was just at the dealership for this and he looked it up and said it was Nm....
Can you get me the info on this in greater detail ? Where the tech found it etc.
I would like to find out why there is a discrepancy.
Thank you for the follow up, I would like to know what is correct....

My brother "Coladin" on this forum can vouch for this, a couple of years ago he had a 2008 G37S and we were doing a winter and summer tire swap on his driveway and I had incorrectly adjusted the torque setting on the torque wrench to 135lb/ft and I snapped a lug nut off his rear wheel....we were in awe, couldnt believe I twisted that metal with a silly miscalculation, so please guys find out for sure....it was a real biatch to get that piece out of the hub.

No go, I asked my dealer again, and showed them picture- they did a lookup and found no SB - they also stated that there should be a service bulletin #.
Im going to leave mine at 96ft/lb until I can get a solid answer

A wise decision - I think the likelihood of 132 ft/lbs being the correct torque value is close to zero.

For what it's worth, my service rep worked on my BS this past Tuesday. He confirmed that, for our cars, the correct value is in the 130 lb-ft range. However for the non BS C63, the value is in the 90's.

So the photo of the MB service document in post #12 isn't enough to convince you? It isn't a service bulletin if you look at it so it likely doesn't have a number. I would place much more relevance to a MB document than the fact that your dealer hasn't heard about it.
