Matched up against a new 2012 CLS63 AMG with a Renntech tune yesterday at the Willow Springs roll-on event hosted by Shift-Sector. Much thanks to Ryan and his team for organizing yet another great outing.

As for the results, we had two clean runs from a 40-50mph roll up to about 130mph. While the CLS edged me out on both runs, it was surprisingly close. Only got pulled about 1 car on each with even starts and no spinning. My little C63 really made a strong showing at the event and surprised quite a few people.

The owner of the CLS was a really cool guy and helped make the day a lot of fun. Thanks J for the friendly runs and I look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Unfortunately we have no videos of the runs, so will just have to take our word for it. Maybe Shift Sector got some footage and can post it up when they get the chance.

wow. those cls63's are strong. i actually drove a prototype and it was quietly fast. i guess it takes a lot of mods on a c63 to stay with a cls.

how much power does a cls with a tune make?

Btw u race any bmw's at that event ?

This was low roll 1st gear 30mph maybe till I let of at 115-120

This was like 20mph to 140 when the video ends he was 1car in front.

Yes, I raced Terry's notorious 135i that recently ran 11.2 at 125mph at Famoso Raceway. We ran 3 times, one from 40mph roll and others from dig. All races were clean even starts and basically side by side the entire runs. His car is amazing.

Nice yea 135 are quick and they weight in at 3400 lbs so with 450rw the power to weight ratio is crazy, I bet that is someone did the math the power to weight ratio would favor the 135.

That's very good considering his a tuner an his car deft running stronger then others plus he got a **** load of mods and only 3400 lbs car to yours at 4000

I heard at the drag strip he takes out some seats to make it lighter

No traction at all. I believe that was 1st gear at about 35-40 MPH for me. Spun 1st 2nd and some of 3rd. Next time ill have drags I hope.

Yes, he had is back seat and front seat out at the drag strip when he ran the 11.2x at 125mph at Famoso Raceway. So if I were to do the same next time out, I've got to think I can run similar times with decent conditions.
