Video: C63 AMG Black Series vs SLS AMG
This is my first post. I purchased a SLS AMG last week and we went with some friend on a small runway to do some runs.
The black series is seriously quick and out of the 3 runs that we did, it beat me once.

- They line it up on a strip side by side....the camera guy is about 100 feet ahead of them
- Guy jumps in to do a hand drop
- the SLS pulls on the BS right out of the whole
- SLS is a car ahead by the time they pass the camera guy
- looks like the SLS pulls about 3-4 cars down the strip

The SLS sounds great. I suppose that's the car I heard the most considering it was closest to the camera.
Does anyone know what the fastest recorded 1/4 time for the C63 BS is? I don't know if any have gone to the track yet, so just curious about v-box times.

Not to mention the new SLSBS will possibly have 650hp. But of course, look at the price difference.

The base is the same, however the internals in the m159 SLS are diffrent. The cooling is also diffrent than the M156. The SLS has a larger heat exchanger. In addition, the camshafts in the M159 are running at a diffrent angle than the m156. The heads In the SLS also allow more airflow than the M156.

Besides parts in the valvetrain, perhaps the C63BS doesn't have the SLS's forged bottom end? I don't know.
I'm curious whether the C63BS has the same bottom end as the P31's?
But, obviously, the main difference between the engines comes from the SLS's more aggressive cams, better flowing heads, perhaps a less restrictive exhaust and probably a slightly more aggressive tune.
