Break squeeky noise
Hi guys i just bought a 2012 c63 coupe, it currently has 7000 miles and have done all the scheduled maintenance. Anyway last week after getting my car fully detailed and wash, it started making squeeky noise on when i stepped on the breaks. I thought it was a temporary thing but its still there after a week. Im pretty sure its not the break pads. I didn't want to bring the car to the dealer as it will cost a fortune. Im not really familiar with cars, so im hoping that the fellow forum members here will help. Really appreciate it.

Could be one of 3 things.
1. Could be some sort of cleaning residue causing the squeaking
2. Could be brake dust that wasn't cleaned
3. Whenever the brakes were last replaced, they weren't bed-in properly

Based on the fact that your brakes JUST started squeaking after a detailing, I'm going with #1. Just do a few quick braking from 60 mph to like 20 mph about 10 times in rapid succession, then let the brakes cool, and see if that noise goes away.
