LSD Service 2k miles SoCal
I am nearing 1900 miles on my '11 C63 with LSD, and according to the manual, the car needs to be brought in for service at 2000 miles (not 1850 as I had previously thought).
I called a couple of dealers and got quotes for $199 (MB of Laguna Niguel) and $260 (FJones Newport Beach).
How much have you guys paid for this service?

From all the posts I have read on the topic, the LSD service at 2K miles is covered by the manufacturer. Thus you shouldn't have to pay a cent. I believe the same applies to C63.

yeah saids it in my manual for my c250 for 2k service. "engine and diff oil change". after that every 10k. probably lot of tiny metal shavings from breaking in the engine. tranny might be a good idea too. more $$$

I think all C classes have the same manual. I was looking for this info this morning. I can't find it.

Not sure if it's free or not, but if it isn't, may I suggest Serge @ Benzworks. Factory trained and can do anything and everything for our benz's. He's located in Huntington Beach.

Regular differential (every car has one) doesn't need to be serviced. The optional LSD needs to have the oil replaced at 2K miles.

It was free for the CLKBS, not sure if the same is true for the CBS. So you need to pay ~$40K more for a Black to get the free 1st diff service.
