I am nearing 1900 miles on my '11 C63 with LSD, and according to the manual, the car needs to be brought in for service at 2000 miles (not 1850 as I had previously thought).
I called a couple of dealers and got quotes for $199 (MB of Laguna Niguel) and $260 (FJones Newport Beach).
How much have you guys paid for this service?

From all the posts I have read on the topic, the LSD service at 2K miles is covered by the manufacturer. Thus you shouldn't have to pay a cent. I believe the same applies to C63.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that. Can anyone else confirm this?Originally Posted by otakki

I had my car serviced at 2k for diff/oil change. It costed roughly 200$, I don't believe it's covered by the dealer.

as fas as I know, the 2000 mile inspection is free, if it includes the lsd service that may cost extra. changing oil will definitely cost something.

Regular differential (every car has one) doesn't need to be serviced. The optional LSD needs to have the oil replaced at 2K miles.

Yes, 2000mile inspection is free, but the required oil change, for LSD only, is not free. (In Aus.)

I have asked for this at Laguna on two separate occasions and no it wasn't free. Originally Posted by bhamg

It was free for the CLKBS, not sure if the same is true for the CBS. So you need to pay ~$40K more for a Black to get the free 1st diff service. Originally Posted by Vic55
