HRE Wheel Decision - Caught in a rough -
Hey Guys,
I am keen on a set of wheels for my 2013 Estates but am quite torn on options at hand. Would you keep the OEM wheels? I'm just dead set keen on a set of HREs in 19 x 8.5 / 19 x 10 but can't decide on the wheel!
Order preference in order:
I quite love the OEM wheels too but i dunno, maybe i am getting a lil silly as i am keen on painting them dark grey / black.

Matt is being sarcastic & jealous again.. LOL
BBS is definitely the best bang for the bucks!! I almost pulled the trigger on those before buying my HRE, but the offset of 19x9.5 +45mm was too aggressive for my taste.
What are the specs you ordered?

Either ways I'm envying both you and Matt with them HRE shoes on your vehicle... Looks like wheels may be in by this Saturday ex Germany or Tues next week at very latest.
Are you running stock tyres?

U will be flushed for sure with +45mm rear. What size tires will u be using? Oem?
I'm running 275/30/19 on my HRE (19x9.5 +50mm) & I barely clear on H&R springs. U should be ok w/o lowering.

as far as i can tell they're pretty much the same product made with same raw materials minus the difference in assembly bolt grade one being stainless steel vs titanium. I doubt a couple of grams will make a difference but then again i could be wrong.

Yup I'm definitely gonna milk what I can from my existing tires because I've only done 1300miles since I received my car 3weeks ago. I would love to lower the vehicle but unfortunately our roads here are a little disgraceful in certain areas.

I'm dropped on H&R springs, but I'm using the thicker spring pads in the rear to raise it a bit & make the drop even with the front.

If you're keeping your OEM tire (255/30/19), then you can lower the car no problem. It will be stretched though. You will run into rubbing issue with 275/30/19 lowered. If you have no plans on lowering, the sky is the limit.

Despite the overpricing of vehicles I can't complain too much... I'm keen to see what future progression / upgrade plans you have in store.

Actually I was serious this time.
I don't like the monoblock series of BBS. And the CH-R looks very "stock" on a C63.
If any BBS, then LMs.
I'd go for the HRE 593 if I were You but they will cost double what the BBS cost.
Also I would prefer a step lip over a reverse lip

Yea no doubt I was keen on the LMs too but I figured for the price I may as well jump on the HRE 593RS.
What hre are you runnin bro? They look pretty dope and flushed beyond imagination. Also would you happen to know of there is a fitting issue between estate and coupe diffusers?
Hear from you soon

God damn it bro... Why did my estate mentor pitch in sooo late. Haha! It's all good bro, I'm yet to see these black BBS CH-R on and if it's not my cup of tea I've got someone ready to steal em for her E63 estate though I'm not sure if the offset will accommodate.

I'm on travel atm so my internet connection is limited.
I have HRE P41 which came from a friend's W221 S600.
They are quite aggressive on a C63 and I never thought they would look this good on my car.
8,5x19 ET43 225/35/19 +15mm spacer
9,5x19 ET43 245/30/19
I can't go wider in the back or else I will be rubbing the fenders.
If I bought new wheels now, they would definitely be 3-piece HREs.
BBS LMs are amazing wheels but they are so common it makes them not worth the money. You see them on thousands of VWs, old bimmers etc.

Mischievous, thx for the compliments. I'm done with this modding addiction, it's too much money spent already. LOL
Don't listen to Matt, your car will look sick with the Black Edition BBS!! LOL
Matt, your car is perfect as is. Don't even think about going 3pcs... trust me, monoblocks are a lot less headache & maintenance. You don't want to deal with seal leak problem all the time.

Go with P99S if weight is a priority. The P99S is also the newest design from HRE so you won't see another car with those wheels on. Go with 563R if the price is of concern as it's the least expensive wheel in the HRE lineup. The 590RS is a nice and that's about it. It is a good street wheel. See the link for pricing and images:

The estate has a completely different diffuser which has shorter fins and integrated parking sensors.
I would like to update my car with a 2012 rear bumper but only if I can get a CF diffuser for it. Haven't seen one on the market yet.
