Curbed rim vs First Class Rim and Tire Protection Plan
Yikes..it has finally happened. Long story short, mom took my car out for a spin and comes back with a curbed rim.
Just wondering if anyone had experiences with curbed rims and the protection plan? I remember purchasing this plan for $1350 on the day I picked up my car.
Here's the plan on MB's site. http://www.mbfs.ca/MBFCWeb/resources...m_Brochure.pdf
Anyone thinks that a curbed rim will be covered under this protection plan and I can go in to get it repaired or replaced with a new rim at no charge?
The car also came with a curbed rim but I just never decided to do anything until today and I'm hoping that one could be fixed as well.
Correction-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I actually bought 2 packages.
First one is the First Class Protection that I've mentioned. It's for all kinds of small dents or paint scratches. Basically I could just drop off the car at the end of the lease and not worry about any small damages. This was $1350.
Second one is the Tire and Rim Insurance. It's for coverage on damaged tires and rims. For example if I get a puncture, I can have the tires replaced at no cost. Same applies to the rims, If I damage it in anyway. Depending on how bad the damage is, I can either get it fixed up or replaced with new rims. This was a $900 thing.
Hope this will be able to help you guys out in the future!
Thanks!

I believe the tire/rim protection only covered bent or cracked rims.. I don't think curb rashes are covered? I might be wrong.

You took delivery of a damaged rim and years later you want coverage. What you linked requires tire damage as well.

haha! Thanks for the fast response guys
But as for the curbed rim that came with the car..I think I have the right to let them know and have it fixed?

I think basic tire and rim will only cover rim "in the event the rim does not seal with the tire"
they don't tell you when they sell it to you, but if you actually read what you sign, thats what it says. I'm not sure about the wheel and tire plus.
thats why i had them refund it on my old C63 and didn't buy it on the new one.
