Sell or not to sell?

Hi fellas!! No I'm not selling my car LOL! But I'm in a dilemma...

I just cleaned my HRE & they are ready for winter storage.

So I installed my SV1 Forged & will be driving on them this fall & storing the car on them in the winter month & driving on them early spring while the potholes are being covered.

But I'm itching the idea of selling them (posted them on a local website, and got an offer of 2 500$)... and found a place where I can buy some matte black OEM 19's, but for extra money.

Yay or nay considering I will only use for fall/winter driving? Should I just save my $$?

Which ones better... Forged vs Cast OEM (that has cracking issue) for dodging potholes?

Here few pics taken today:

Sell them and get the OEM 19" even though they have some problems. The SV1 are horrible IMO, makes your car look like a Honda lol

In the other hand, the black matte 19" will look awesome in your car since it's white

That's just my opinion though...

LOL, no doubt the OEM 19's looks better.. But the matte black I found is quite a bit more $$. Are they worth the extras if I used them as beater wheels.. Plus i get tired of wheels fast LOL.

I already have mesh HRE wheels, will I get tired of cleaning the multispokes & reaching in to clean the calipers & inner barrels. Having 2 different style (1 pc mesh & 3 pcs 5 spokes) might cure my addiction of buying wheels every year. Lol

Just trying to weight the pros & cons before I spend another penny on my car. Lol

Get the 19" OEMs, they look better than the SV1.

Hi Andrew, I was thinking of selling my SV1 for the black OEM multispokes.

Actually today my wife got to sit in my car with the SV1 installed, and she told me she prefers the comfort & the "no rubbing" from the SV1 set-up & asked me to get rid of the HRE if I want to buy the OEM. She hates the HRE slight rubbing issue... I told her "Hell NO" LOL

My vote Meng is for the 19inch OEM all the way. The car just looks more expensive with those multispoke...more so than the HRE. Of all these wheels you bought you keep coming back to the 19 OEM....you should have bought mine!

19" Matte black wheels ftw. Matte black wheels look so good on white cars.

Nick, it's been 2 sets that I passed on.. Yours & N1ck. Lol

I'm actually liking the black ones w/polished lip more & more.. It will look sweet with 10mm spacers front & back. The silver/polished ones are too common now in Ottawa, I see every new C63 with them.

I'll keep my eyes out for a black set.. Let me know if anyone has one for sale. If not, I will prolly buy the silver ones eventually when will be the right time.

my wife bananas! :D
here is the formula i would use

If ((price you get from selling sv1 rims) - (price for oem 19s) + (cool factor of oem 19s in black *average number of heads you anticipate you will turn per day) + (value of being very satisfied) - (cost of diapers your baby requires per day)) > 1 then you go buy the oem 19s, else stick with the sv1

^^ LOL , that's a funny one Tim. I can't solve that formula in my head for the past 2 weeks.. That's why I'm choosing "statu quo" for now.

I'm taking care of my new priority first.. The wheels can wait for another day when the time will be right. I wish I could afford 3 sets of wheel in my garage.

ditch the hankooks to get rid of the rubbing. goodyear f1 supercars are very round in the same sizes would probably never rub.

Oh yeah and NEVER sell the P40s.

Jeff, thanks for the advice... I really wants to keep running 275/30 in the rear, so I'll sure look into Goodyear for my next set of tires on the HRE. Any other brand that run rounded sidewalls?

LOL, don't worry Lon, I'm not selling my HRE... I love the look of my car with them too much, from every angle (Flushness FTW). Also I love the fact I can still clean the calipers & inner barrel, despite the mesh design look of the P40.

The P44SC are pretty easy to get your hands between the spokes too
