I have always wondered why MB wouldn't make a 4-matic c63... and dare i say actual 6 speed stick ya know? with that weird little 3rd pedal thing?? They would slaughter the R/S4 crowd and give people that want an all year round car the option. I can only imagine that it would probably tack a fair amount onto the price

Because they are stupid...besides...if they did...they wouldn't sell it in the US anyways....we didn't even get parktronic and such until later year C63 models....MBUSA = *******S

My understanding is that a 6-speed manual wouldn't be able to handle the large amount of torque the engine generates, i.e. you wouldn't be able to shift fast enough without damaging the transmission. Unless I'm mistaken??

Manual gearboxes can handle way more torque then automatics.
However, depending on the gearing ratios of 1st and 2nd, odds are you would hit redline on the engine before you could go 1st to 2nd, that would be the problem, that is easily fixed by making first and second longer gears.

Because despite the AMG branding it's still Mercedes, which means usability comes before control and performance. If you really want a car that can pull track duty, you should have gotten a M or Porsche.
Now don't jump on me, I'm not saying AMG can't be tracked, but I think most will agree that it doesn't have the reputation as something like a M3 or 911.

Main reason I would think is that the AWD components were not originally built for high HP numbers and they would have to spend more money then it's worth to research/reinforce any weak points in the AWD system.

Oh I highly doubt that. A lot of C63 owners living in snowy countries. Take all the canadians on the forum for example. I bet a lot of us living in nordic countries would be very interested to at least have the option. Ok, maybe not the stick but AWD at least.

+1...I'm all for an AWD C63. The 2014 E63 4MATIC is a promising sign.

Mercedes builds comfortable cars. I imagine if you want this piece of excavation equipment they will build it. Complete with high stack exhaust pipe.
AMG builds quite a number of racing cars each year. You should write to them and ask them for your snow plough.

I think your definition of a car would be the same as Mercedes' definition of farm equipment. Whilst I can appreciate your enthusiasm for overtaking every Audi on the road, sooner or later you will arrive at your destination and get out of the car.

Beg to differ here... but the W204 is a far cry from comfortable compared to an optioned A4. We have one of both in our house. Maybe I just appreciate the driving experience more having a real clutch; or the art of a perfect rev match downshift to blow around a corner. And ya it'd be nice to drive my $65,000 snowplow up north in the winter with AWD instead of parking my $80,000 paper weight 5 months of the year. And funny enough I don't recall Audi building one of these... thanks for comin out jack ***
