we have the instructions on the website. We do this as they change the software often and we try and keep it up to date.

You will need to register and update the device as well as read the file on the car in order for us to send you the tune file.

"Wait until tomorrow sir. They decided to do this without telling anyone and the new version will be released this week."

I truly appreciate quick responses and good customer service. Hopefully tomorrow it works...

Good to hear! This is actually Jake, but glad Jerry got back to you. We are doing our best in the situation but handcuffed by the support on the device itself!

Well it's almost 9:00am where I'm located. If these guys are in Italy, it's almost 4:00pm. If we don't see an update in the next few hours, I'm afraid we may have to wait until Monday.

Can either the OETuning or Eurocharged reps call or email Dimsport and get an update?

+1000 Pretty please! It is frustrating to me that people were having this problem before I purchased my unit, you guys knew about it, and there was no mention that it wouldn't work when I received it. Good thing I didn't elect for overnight shipping...

Just got word from Jerry at Eurocharged that they got confirmation from Dimsport that it will be released monday. Lets hope Dimsport will keep their word...

dimsport didn't let us know that it effected the new units that we just got. All the vendors (o e , eurocharged, velos) are all in the same boat until they fix their problem.

When you say the new units you just got, I presume that this means that the unit that I'm hopefully getting in the mail today will be affected?

I think its time for EC, Velos, OE, and whomever use Dimsport OBD's to flex some muscle on these fools. If they really didn't let you know in advance that all these units would need a required update the isn't yet available, than I would be looking to a new supplier. I can't believe their is not another company out there that can handle making these OBD computers. If not, I may have just found my next business venture.

wish they stored the FTP password for the update site in clear text somewhere so I could poke around and see whats up

for those curious, the chinese mirror appears to have a different version of the update than the american or italian mirrors (1.2 meg vs slightly under a meg), sadly it tells me "servicing in progress. try again later"

I sincerely hope that heads will roll at Dimsport for not allowing me to drive at extremely illegal speeds on public roads, and consume an obnoxious quantity of gasoline in doing so.

I feel the pain that those of you are experiencing out there, but this is kind of like going to the dentist to get a cavity filled....kinda hurts when the job's getting done, but once all is better than it was before, you'll barely remember the pain that you experienced in the first place.

In short: I'm 100% confident that Jerry and his boys are on it as much as they can be so you are all in good hands; fundamentally it's not their issue but Dimsport's so they are at the mercy of a bunch of Italian's (good luck LOL - they work like 3 days a week), but the most important thing is that each of your cars is going to kick so much a$$ once everything is fixed and ready for download/upload that this is a drop of water in a very large bucket. I'd even go the distance to say that Jerry and them deserve a little slack on this one - I'm sure that they are just as eager (if not more) to distribute the release as you are to get it.

Keep calm everyone and just look forward to having dynamically different machines in the very near future.

Just remember, positive vibes....

In my personal experiences with them (I've had many) they've always been responsive, knowledgeable and professional and have always pulled through - even when I was having issues at 10PM on a Saturday night.

Do you really want them to do a rush job and not test it out thoroughly? What will you say then if you try to reflash and it bricks your ecu because ya'll were too impatient?

if they release it, and it bricks? it's 100% their fault for sending us gear that didnt work in the first place.

If I had found a pre-release version of the software on their ftp, loaded it, and it bricked my ECU? 100% my fault for being impatient

but, I am also a software engineer, so I know the risks better than most


edit for clarification: dimsport's fault - not eurocharged! though I am kicking myself for paying for 2-day shipping on something that wont work for a few more days
