Carbon Fiber Inquiry
Was just wondering if the guys who did carbon fiber conversions can chime in (rear diffuser, lip spoiler, front lip, etc) Which company has the best quality carbon fiber price wise? I assume a lot of people would say Vorsteiner, but they are a little bit to pricey for me. I think that you can find products just as good, way cheaper, but with many companies to chose from, plus the e-bay stuff, china and taiwan...i'm confused. Please any info would be greatly appreciated.

Some sponsors run specials on their cf parts. Or you can reach out to the manufacturer directly to see if you can get a price break. I know a Vorsteiner lip retails for $1500 or so, but I've seen them sometimes go for less than $1000. You also have negotiating power if you buy multiple pieces together.
I would caution against eBay stuff unless a forum member can vouch for the seller or the quality.

Mode Carbon for sure. I have seen both Mode Carbon & Vorsteiner pieces in person and honestly there is not much of a difference. Infact, the Vorsteiner part that i had seen in person has some clearcoat issues after a year or so. As far as bang for the buck, Mode definitely would be the better option.

I'd like to find someone that makes an all carbon OEM style trunk lid spoiler. both Vorsteiner and Mode Carbon make their own version but it's not OEM style like JBspeed.

Other than my crappy luck, I'd swear by Vorsteiner. The fitment is great and the quality of all of the pieces are top notch. Just shop the vendors/sponsors on the board. Someone can cut you a sweet deal.

my wife bananas! :D
just remember, with CF, you really get what you pay for. i have experience with both mode and vorsteiner and can truthfully say, they both have great quality. The vorsteiner diffuser is more expensive and rightly so, there is just more work and material that goes into make it.

And honestly, the ebay stuff isn't bad, i know a few on ebay with great quality and better fitment than some of the "brand names".

getting a competent installer, on the other hand, can be a challenge.

Guys, thank you for all the replies. I ordered the carbon fiber trim from a forum member here(Matt your a good guy) and i'm waiting for DCMTS to send me a Paypal invoice / money request so i can get the steering wheel going and i thought slowly to start getting the outside pieces also...
I know for sure i want the diffuser, rear lip spoiler and front lip. I don't know about the mirrors. I'll post pictures once i get something installed.
Thanks again.

Any idea what brand they are? I'd really like to find a true carbon piece, but I'm afraid of yellowing on any of them. There are so many layered versions out there, it's hard to know if you're getting a good one or not. Wish I could find a DIY on how to remove the old one and install new..
