New Wheels / Hella Flush / Widened Arch Photos
Well today I was shopping around a fancied a new pair of shoes for my car - don't worry, I buy these new cheaper than I sell them used so wheel changes are costing me nothing. Definitely not the kind to throw money away. I found a buyer for my old set last night (SLS style) and fancied putting on some Vossen style wheels. I wanted the poished set but they only had a 8.5" fit all around on a 19" with a 35 offset and that would not be anywhere near flush. I decided to go for the matte black set which are now fitted. Once I need to fit new tires in around 45 days, I am gonna switch up and sell these on. Black wheels are wrong IMHO, you can't see them unless in full sun light.
The specs of the wheels are:
8.5" front with a 35 offset - running a 245/35/19
9.5" rear with a 30 offset - running a 285/30/19
This was the perfect offset for my custom rear arches and I am now only 2mm away from being hella flush . This problem will be resolved when I buy a new set of rears (a few thousand more kms), I'm going to fit a 295 instead of a 285 and will then be A OK.
While I was fitting the wheels, I thought I would take a few snaps up close and personal of the work done on my arches to widen them by 40mm.
Here they are:

Love these new wheels better... but please, drop the beast!! No aftermarket wheels will look complete w/o the right drop.

LOL - I was trying to get away from the shop in time before the sun came down. Unfortunately I wasn't too lucky but catch the last few minutes of it. Will get some more shots posted up tomorrow.

OK so I was driving to the dentist today and I came across an orange C63 and thought to put mine side by side with it to take some photos of the arches.
Below are some shots but first of all the new wheels in better lighting:

Missed this. The problem with a drop is that the road conditions over here are not always perfect and with a drop, I'd be limited as to which roads I could use. It's not as bad as it sounds but I am already only 10cms off the ground as it is up front.

I am going to put on a 295 or 305 on my next set of wheels depending on the offset. Traction problems? Say What?

I am going to wait for the perfect set to come along. I live in DXB and wheels over here are pretty cheap plus I've a lot of contacts in the business - I have my own shop and specialise in OEM AMG, BMW, Porsche and Audi wheels (used in new condition) along with aftermarket wheels.
As soon as I find a set I like with a 35-40 offset up front and a 35 - 43 offset on the rear, I'm gonna slam on a 295 or 305. Have been told the wheels I want are coming in after 20 days. Should only cost around $600

Your arched wheels looks great.. very OEM.. Did you have to buy any special parts or ? Wondering how they did it and could you share how much it cost you? Can pm me if you like.
I really want to flare my arches just a bit so i can fit 295/305 in rear.. I don't want to spend 15k either lol..
