First Time on the track with the C63BS*
* I posted this on AMG-PL and though I should also share it here, I hope you like it
I took the C63BS last month to the track for the first time. I signed up for a local event (GulfRun) where they book Bahrain's International Circuit for a couple of days. You get to drive around 3 parts of the track (inner, outer & GP circuits), drag race and autocross. I don't have a lot of track time under my belt so I was looking forward for it. I was planning to ride with the tow truck from Kuwait to Bahrain (about 500 KM) due to the road condition but ended up driving there (long story). Only problem is I always need to have my fuel with me as both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have no 98 octane gas. I used VP103 on the track and for the drive back to Kuwait
My car has the Aero and Track packages and it performed better than I've expected. I didn't push the car as much as I wanted because I needed to make sure everything is in order for my drive back to Kuwait. That is another reason why I left the traction control on the sport setting . It only annoyed me on one high speed corner a couple of times. I was very impressed with the brakes and the tires, they made a huge difference. Their instructors were very helpful and I've learned a lot about the track and the car as it was my first time there.
The event is basically a time attack on the 3 tracks and they used a similar point system to F1 for scoring. I was not expecting much, but it turned out I got first place in Street Class! (the other classes are Super & Unlimited). I only had a single run on the drag strip because I needed to change my tries for the trip back before the shop closes. So didn't have enough fun there.
I'm very impressed with the C63BS and can't wait until I take it out to the track again. I have some photo's and a video to share with you guys. The AMG Performance Media system was great, when it worked. It did record the tracks but did not always record the history. The dealer found a loose cable and said that it was the problem. I hope it works better next time.
The track photos were taken mostly by my friends or the event photog. The crappy phone picture and the B&W one are me.

Very nice! Love the sounds of that car going around the track. How did you shift? It looks like you put it in M mode and downshifted with the shifter at the end of the straight. Is that right?

Looks to me like you did a great job for your first time tracking the car!!! Glad to see you are enjoying it!! These cars definitely get attention and everyone wants to know what size turbo's or S/C it has. LOL
NO one believes that its all motor and runs like it does!!
Pictures are great as well. ENJOY and be safe!

Awesome post OP!
Well done on your accomplishment by winning a trophy!
I'm sure you had a great time at the track.. you folks in the Middle East as well in North America are so blessed with the availability of tracks. We here in Brunei do not have any tracks to utilise..

Thanks guys for you kind words
I had it in S+ mode the whole time.
As G55AMG said, the glass roof is standard in North America. Fortunately, it is optional here, not standard.
No tune or anything else for that matter, the car is completely stock.
