MBH X-pipe C63 experience

I'm considering buying a MBH X-pipe to replace the secondary cats of my OEM exhaust system. Does anyone have experience with this X-pipe and its effects (sound, HP, drone)?

X-pipe will increase the sound for sure since you are deleting the secondary cats. You will gain a marginal amount of power, probably just barely noticeable unless you tune the car. Midrange power will improve.

There are several threads discussing X-pipes if you use the search function. You'll see that the general consensus is overall positive. I had headers and straight pipes with cat deletes on my 2009 C63, and it was too much at times. I grew annoyed by it eventually, and the exhaust fumes also were a problem. The setup I have now is much more civilized, but still sounds great without being obnoxiously loud. The X-pipe took away some of the raspiness of the exhaust note. I personally like the new refined note. Don't get me wrong, it still sounds like an AMG, just a bit smoother. Get the X-pipe. I think you'll enjoy it. If you also get headers, consider high flow cats. They will also help to keep decibal levels within reason for daily driving, and your exhaust fumes won't kill you when you're stopped at a red light. I hope this helps.

If you're going to do one thing to the exhaust, I think the secondary cat delete is the best bang for the buck. Only takes one cut to install. You could also add flanges or a slip joint to make it reversible without welding.
