No LSD, still need to change rear diff oil?
Just picked up used 2010 c63 at 50,000 km
Service manual says I should change rear diff oil but Ive read here and there that that is only if you have LSD which I do not.
Advice?

Yes it's not magic
You still need to change the gear oil in your differential regardless if it's an LSD or open diff.
Gears are gears and they need to be lubricated.

You dont have to because the LSD is not there. You are changing the differential fluid which has metal flakes in it from the gears in the LSD (well at least mine had lots after break in)

the lsd diff change is at 2k mi first for the break-in period and then every 40k mi after i believe. The regular one is around 40-60k mi. cant remember the exacty numbers off the top of my head.

+1. you still have a diff in the back, even if it's not an LSD. it needs to be serviced at regular intervals.
and CONGRATS on the car! let's see some pics!

my 2009 maintenance booklet says
40k miles or 4 years (then 80k/8 years and so on) replace only on C63 w/AMG PP
there is no entry for the non PP car
that would imply only LSD's
but I agree, it should be changed in all gear boxes at 40 to 50k intervals
