Question Replacing Interior Wood Trim Options ??

I'm about to take delivery of a 2013 C63 this Saturday. It has all the spec's I want, color, etc.... but the interior wood trim is that Burl Walnut.

I'd like a more sporty look like brushed aluminum or carbon fiber.... does anyone know of a source for this without paying crazy dollars?

If it's for a 2013 C63 Sedan I can help you out with a CF set.

I definitely recommend getting the CF trim kit from Matt (olszowa12).. It might take him a bit of time to find u a set, but the quality, price saving & his service makes it worth it!

You can wrap it with 3M carbon fiber for cheap, or buy it from someone selling it or parting out their ride.

I've tried the 3M vinyl route & it looks cheap no matter what. U need that clear coat shine for the interior.

I just received my interior pieces back from oCarbon (Matt). The pics will come as soon as he finishes the center vent surround piece. His work is incredible. Better than anything I have ever seen. Literally perfect fit & finish. I gave up my interior pieces a few weeks but it was worth it. Pics soon...Call Matt for price. Mine cost about half of what the current aftermarket kit runs oCarbon.com 623.239.1500

I've seen OCarbon work in their thread, they do great job as well.

I was just not willing to send my trim to them & drive w/o trims for few weeks. I was told they will start a core exchange program soon though.

Olszowa12 does not required core exchange, that's why I got my kit from him.

Cool I didn't know about Olszowa12 exchange. It did suck driving several weeks w/o interior no doubt. But I freaking love it now. It has been in just a week and I wont take pic's till I get the center vent back.
Both of these guys do good work from the pics I have seen, which just can't do justice to the actual thing!

No core exchange? Please get some working capital in that business, as a few K to allow that capability would have a huge ROI. I also want their CF, but no trim for two weeks makes small upgrades too obvious to the wife, kids, neighbors, etc.

i never understood why oCarbon didn't do a core exchange for a set or two to start off. Are the interior trim pieces that expensive to purchase?

I heard they wanted to practice on our cars trim first to see how good they look, and this gave them the opportunity to give a better deal for the "guinea pig".

Once the core exchange takes place, their prices will be much more.

It's just not that simple. We're currently developing sets of trim for like 15 different vehicles at the moment. We needed to test the market, get our costs figured out, see what manufacturing was like, etc before we made a commitment in spending several thousand dollars on a few sets of cores.

Usually yes. It's easier if we can find sets used, as they can be considerably cheaper, but so far I haven't been able to find a legit source.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm really looking forward to seeing the installed pictures.
