Anyone going to be in Las Vegas next week at SEMA Nov 5th-8th?

I am going to be out there 7th and 8th and then racing my SLS BS in the Optima Invitational at Spring Mountain Raceway on Saturday the 9th. My SLS will be on display in the Optima Battery booth at SEMA.

I'm probably going to go out and party Thursday night but then I have to be on good behavior Friday night since the Optima race starts early Saturday morning, I would assume they frown upon intoxicated race participants LOL. Saturday night should be a free for all, let me know what's going on.

I heard there are strippers and hookers too, but I can't confirm that.

Jump a flight, somebody will be able to get you a badge for the show.

It is a show that is not open to the public, it is for automotive trade only and SEMA members but it is pretty easy to find someone to get you a badge. I have been a few times and always gotten in with no issues.

Meh.. I spend around 8 days in Vegas every year for Defcon/Blackhat/Bsides... the place is over rated :P Fun for 2 or 3 days, after that it's a chore....

Do you do business with any tuners or aftermarket companies? I would start there. One year back when I was still an evosport customer I asked them for a badge for my friend and I and they got us in, badges did not have our name on them but who cares. Don't take my word on it, I would hate for you to make the trip and not get in, but I have had no problems in past years. This year is easy, my car is in the show so I am in.

Haha, I'm there every year for those same conferences as well. By the end of defcon I'm pretty much dead and can't wait to get home...

For sure, jumping in my hauler Sunday after Optima race and driving home to Chicago, should be home by Tuesday morning, grab a couple days rest and head out to MIR on Friday about 5:00am will be in Maryland by dinner time Friday.

This will be an event NO AMG enthusiast will want to miss. Even more than SEMA or any airport races. History will be made and I for one want to see it for myself!!

Our datacenter is in Vegas so I happened to schedule a trip out there during the week of SEMA. SEMA during the day then work at night.

Opps, you are correct, MIR is Nov. 16th....I have optima on the 9th.

Been a busy month, Drove SLS from chicago to Vegas a week and a half ago, Dallas this weekend at NASCAR race entertaining clients, Optima Invitational next weekend and MIR the following weekend.....can't beleive my wife has not divorced me yet.
