Tire Size Assistance - HRE 19's
What's up fellas!
I'm gearing up to install all the parts I have accumulated over the winter in the next month or so.
I will be running a set of HRE FF01's:
19 x 9.5 = ET 44 Offset
19 x 8.5 = ET 30 Offset
I know the offsets are somewhat aggressive, but considering some of you are running similar sizes / offsets with the use of spacers. I figured I would try to get a nice flush stance without the spacers.
My question - the Front is aggressive, my concern is caliper clearance I may run a 5 MM spacer to clear my coil overs. Would you recommend a 225 or 235 wide tire? Im going to do something with a bit more of a rounded side wall IE: Toyo T1R or Falken 453's.
For the rears would you do a 265 or play it safe and run a slightly stretched 255.
Car is lowered with H & R Super Sport Coil Overs.
Your input is really appreciated
Kris

I was running 8x19 ET30 with 235/35/19 without rubbing but that was on H&R Springs.
(OEM Multispoke ET45 with 15mm spacer).
With coilovers on the lowest setup I had this - 225/35/19, HRE 8.5x19 ET33
(ET43 with 10mm spacer).
I tried running 15mm in front but I only damaged my front fenders by doing so.

I suggest u 225/35/19 & 255/30/19 to be on safe side. Stretched but safe from rubbing.

whats with everyone and using 255's!?!?!?! 255s DO NOT get traction...I have 20 inch rims that are 9.5 wide in the rear sitting on 285's perfectly fine, 255 on the fronts...my car spins the 285's EASILY...Imagine how it spins 255s...I had 255s before and absolutely hated it, made the car drive like complete ****

Are you lowered? If you are on stock suspension sure you can fit a wider tire.
Ideally I would have loved to go with a 275. But our rear fenders are not friendly to wide tires and lowered cars.
Roswell / Matt as always your input is really appreciated.

In a perfect world, our cars should all runs 305 in the rear, but it's not doable with our fenders clearance.

i shoulda mentioned i'm running a 25 series tire in the rear so it is fairly thin but still has some sidewall too it...i think canadian verisons are lower slightly then USA? if i remember correctly?

Not Sure if the Canadian C63's are spec'd differently compared to the US Versions. However, I feel there are no difference in the suspension setups.
Either way it does not matter as I am on Coil Overs.
I think I will stick with 255 / 35 / 19 for the rears and 225 / 35 / 19 upfront.
Last question - For those who have coil overs - Did you require spacers to clear your coil overs upfront?

listen to the wheel Master!
As for spacers, I wouldn't recommend it as ur front offset is already too aggressive so adding spacers will most likely cause rubbing. I would say try ur set up as is first, if u have suspension clearance than add spacers after (if it's safe for the front fenders, or else get new wheels with better offset)

Btw, Kriston ur fronts are 19x8.5 +30mm .. So I'm pretty sure ur 225/35/19 will clear the suspension .
The only problem with inner suspension clearance is when the offset is higher than normal (i.e 19x8.5 +50mm for our front , that sunken look) or if ur car is slammed to the point u get crazy negative camber.
