Manual to Comfort?
So today was the second time this has happened to me in my 2012 C63 Non P31. I was driving in manual pulling into the drive way, and when I switched from Manual to Comfort, the car completely freezes, the wheel locks for a second and all of the lights are on. The engine shut off but the electricity was still on. It seems completely fine now, but the question has this ever happened before? It has happened to me twice, the last time many months ago and posted a thread but it seems to be a rare case.
Also when switching between C,S,S+, and M, does the car always need to be stationary?

Yes it does say that. However, if it were damaging in any way to change settings while moving the car would not allow it (like how you can't watch a DVD while driving).

No disrespect taken. I believe, as the prior poster said, that if it damaged the car then changing to the Manual setting while in motion it could easily be disabled by Mercedes. Pure supposition on my part, I think Mercedes doesn't want you changing to manual for safety reasons.

Back to the first part of the OP's question - I sometimes get a bump or a lurch when going from C into S S+ M at low speeds, likely from the transmission's clumsy attempt to drop from 2nd gear down into 1st. However, I've never had ANYTHING like the dead-car issue you experienced.

Something definitely is wrong. Oh, and as for the manual to comfort... You most definitely should be able to change worry free. I do it all the time. Accelerate onto the highway in M, can't engage cruise control in M so change to C while cruising in order to engage cruise control.
OP, bring it to the dealer. It's as though the car is stalling. Thinking about it, it could have something to do with changing in the low speed and then stalling. Complete shot in the dark though.
