Anyone with a Eurocharged tune get the latest transmission software update from MB?
With winter and a back injury I have been laid up in my home doing nothing so when I recently took my car out for some fun I was bummed to feel some slippage shifting 2-3.
I have an EC tune and thought maybe I needed to apply it again since the battery was disconnected for a period of time. Same issue was there with or without tune.
I took it to the dealer who said there was a software update for the transmission. They applied the update and the tech said the shifts are really crisp now.
If I were to re-apply the EC tune, would I basically wipe out the transmission software update and be stuck with the shifting issues again?

Good questions because I have a Velos tune....I'd want the update as well...are these free of charge?
Is the update for TC trannies or the facelift trannies?

I just got home from the dealer after picking up the car and I must say this car feels like a completely different car.
The software update was just for the transmission and it should be a free update. My guess it is pre-facelift, but I don't know for sure. Unfortunately nobody knew exactly what the update changed, but I can tell you I didn't even feel the car shift between 1-3. It felt like a single gear up to 70. Whereas before you could feel some really hard shifts 1-2-3.
Hopefully Jake or someone at Eurocharged will see this and be able to comment as I really love my tune and I have headers and full exhaust so I would like to keep the afr in an acceptable range at all times.
I am going to re-apply the tune and go out driving for a while since it is such a nice day. I'll post back and let you guys know if the tune changes things.

I have a 2010 so the 7g. The SA told me he had just done an update for a C350 and that it would be worth it to hook it up and see if it applied to my car as well.
As far as knowing whether or not you have the tune, I couldn't tell ya. Just re-apply the tune anyway if you think it got reset after your service.
I did some driving after re-applying the tune and it doesn't seem to have affected the shifting as much, but I did a lot of highway driving. My guess is the combination of the tune and the software update is solid. I feel like the car is new and a beast.

2014 has MCT and I don't know if there is an update for that one. They had to hook up my car just to see if there was an update for mine. Maybe someone with an MCT can ask there SA to hook up there car to see if software update is available to them. I don't know if there is any other way to find out.

mct will have a rotary knob with C, S, S+ and RS (launch control) It's the same 7g transmission just has a wetclutch instead of torque converter

If the dealer does overwrite your EC ECU tune and applies the TCU update, when you reinstall the EC tune, it will not affect the updated TCU map right?

You are gambling on the transmission and the engine itself. Did you really think that producing more power without beefing up everything else is without consequences? Why do you think car manufacturers will void your drivetrain warranty if you **** with the engine?
