M6 Driver Unable To Drive Orrrr...?
Did I just embarrase this guy?
Anyone else tuned run an M6?
Only mods I could tell for sure was an exhaust.
Story:
I saw him pull out 2 cars ahead of me. Came to a light where 2 cars took the right lane and he was in left with no one ahead of us. Light turns green, he revs slow, I'm not sure if he's game at this point or not, so I get up next to it and he drops the hammer. I down 2 and pull him fairly easily. Probably an 1/8th mile to the next light and I had him by an easy 2 cars and he got a bit of a jump on me.
Thoughts...?

we're just lucky we have a large displacement platform that can easily be opened up for relatively low modification. The previous M5 V10 motor was just as lucky for tuning as well.

I let a kid in an IS250 F Lexus beat me the other day from a 40 mph roll. Hell they were so happy with themselves. The passenger was recording it all. I dropped back after a couple turns and let them blaze past me. Should be on YouTube by now I bet "C63 kill by a Lexus ISF 250"...whatever the correct designation is. LOL I am almost 50 fellas and I had a tee time, hope the kids enjoyed it!

Having said that, I don't think I could ever let this happen.
Good man to let these kids have their day. I'm not sure I would have wasted my gas to be honest.

I've noticed they are easy to beat from a launch... apparently the iDrive thing really makes it a PITA.
Here's a video of me walking one in 2012 at the WannaGoFast event in Clayton...

Owner was cool about it, nice guy to chat with. I basically murdered him on the launch and he could never reel me in.
Hats-off to JRSJR65, you're a better man than me LOL

I'm assuming this is the new V8TT M6? If so, these cars are extremely sluggish under 4000rpm and if you plant it with traction control fully engaged, it almost goes nowhere.
I say this because my old man has 1, and it is a helluva lot faster than my C63!!! On the open road, at full tilt, very few cars stand a chance.
Although my car is stock though.

My F10 M5 has a flat torque curve of 502 ft-lb that starts at 1500 rpm all the way to 5750 rpm … pulls like a freight train from the get go. Even from a low roller it's hard to beat this car. I only drive with TC off and shift manually … There is full power right away, but in first gear you have to gently roll into the throttle or it will light up the rears and you're going nowhere.

Hhmmm interesting.
I've never been in any S85 BMWs so I can't comment on the differences.
I just feel the new V8TT motor is still low on torque at the bottom of the rev range.
Don't get me wrong, it still has loads of torque under 4000rpm, but u get a massive kick in the back once it passes the 4000rpm mark.
And its not just my old man's car, went in a friends X6M and it was exactly the same
